Adventure time

Moving forward from earlier today's bs and my petty reaction to it...

I've discovered that cooking (for me) basically is just throwing everything that smells good into a pot and hope it makes a curry with meat to pour over rice. Or at least... that's what I grew up with and it ruled, and the boyfriend likes it, so I guess that's how it's gonna be.
Tonight I had chicken to work with. Not sure what to make with it, but I'll start with sauteing garlic and onions with salt, pepper, cumin, and more salt because I'm Peruvian. Threw in some stock. Wasn't sure if potatoes would be appropriate so I got two eggs and beat them together. Salted the shit out of that. Cut up and seasoned the chicken. and then just kinda decided to dip the chicken in the egg and toss it in there and hope for the best. more stock. more pepper. Goya seasonings. some lime juice. what else? leftover egg stuff. sure why not. put the lid on. done. I don't even know. I looked for an open beer bottle in our room hoping there was some left over (because my mom would do that for some dishes) but no luck. Ether way, it smells awesome.

 And then I started the rice. Salt that too.

I can't have bland food. Can't do it. I think that's why I like worldly foods more than just a seasoned piece of steak with potatoes and green beans. I look at that shit and I'm like that's ADORABLE. Where's the rest?

Earlier today, someone at work also paid me up front for 3 pieces. Woot! And they're gonna be super easy!

 

He wants 8-bit Link and these two guys from a show called Adventure Time.

Speaking of orders, I had to bring it up to one of the girls that it's been a while. Awkward. She reassured me. And today, the other girl. But she said I'd have it in my tips tomorrow np.  This has taught me to just ask for it up front from now on. I don't want to do that to people, because I'd just take their word and expect them to fulfill their obligation just by moral standard but I was Rotny'd, I was Rotny'd.

Get lit on fire

Today was all kinds of good because I got off work early, did a good deed for a homeless guy (got him a registered Starbucks card so he wouldn't have to pay for his coffee all the time), and came home to a sleeping Rotny to snuggle with before he left for work.

I don't know or care who that person is or why they think I give a shit, but they thought it was a good idea to tell me this.
I was gonna respond and try not to go off on them, but they blocked me (good one).

Suffice it to say I watched some of the video...

isn't that just fucking adorable. oh she got a bridge piercing too. oh and the labret, too. and the same fringe I have, side fringes and all. and that color. with black hair. HAH. HAH. HAH. HAH.

I didn't finish it. Kind of annoyed.
I guess thanks? For reminding me that she still exists and is still insane? Not sure what the purpose of showing me this was other than to just be a catalyst for... this reaction. We really fucking appreciate it. Now, kindly, fuck off and burn. And never fucking contact me again.

I'm so excited!!! I can't wait for my things to get here. I went on Ebay and got some things:

Since I really wanted a better way of keeping track of my transactions, I decided to get a notebook for this specifically. The memo pad my friend got me for my birthday was what I was using in the meantime. It's so cute :3 I just may miss it!

AND....

The R button does not work. It hasn't for a long time and has gradually gotten worse until it died all together. This makes playing games on this little guy less fun... especially Yoshi's Island =\

BUT.. Today I found an awesome bid on Ebay for a used black one with Super Mario 64: DS included with it-- which I've shopped for and goes for $25+ even though it's a billion years old.
This white DS I had bought used from a Game Stop years ago after I traded in my new one years ago before that, because I was moving to San Francisco. Other than this, I've never had a problem with Nintendo hardware (under my care).

I just wish I could transfer my stickers over to my black one. I'LL JUST HAVE TO GET MORE!
There were 14 bids for that DS... makes me almost feel bad if it was someone's mom. Too bad I struggle, too! :D

While everyone and their brother is getting off to nu - My Little Pony, I'm all about Nyanpire.
 I've tried finding DVD box sets but no luck yet. You're welcome. I'm probably gonna make a bunch of Nyanpire clay charms. Which reminds me, those two chicks haven't paid me yet for their orders. >_<

Rice is delicious

My last two days off have been all kinds of productive... oddly.

Some neighbors I guess were moving out and left some things on the sidewalk, one being a nice wooden night stand. We're hyenas. We brought it in and I cleaned it up and painted it a super pretty glossy black. This new piece for our room motivated us to move the furniture around and do some cleaning. I like it way better. Thinking about painting the other oak night stand we scavenged, lol. But it's dark enough that it doesn't look out of place.

Our "coffee table" is 3 stacked guitar cases.

We went shopping for groceries and stuff, which is always a mood lifter. I've decided to start cooking again instead of just constantly getting frozen stuff. I missed it, and frankly, I like cooking for my man. It's awesome. When you create something that's hit or miss and important like a meal, and he loves it, it's an awesome feeling and I forgot about that.

He missed it so much!

I made this today. It's roasted green beans with garlic, scrambled eggs, reduced in chicken broth over rice. ALL THE THINGS OVER RICE


And this is the commission I'm finishing today.
