Effective

You guys. I am so cranky you guys. You guys. The crankiest.

Actually, I'm not, but thought it'd be more exciting to start off with that. I was earlier though.
In hindsight it's interesting to recall how I react under negative circumstances while at work. The loudest, most annoying silence envelopes me and encumbers my ability to word my disdain coherently. I purse my lips and sigh the most obnoxious sigh through my nose, damning everything and asking myself "why." An atomic explosion going off in my mind, giving up on trying to understand the logic behind a lot of decisions that people make, or don't make. I'm too proud to explode all of my ire out vocally. Personally, I think that's a sloppy character trait. but I was itching to be pushed a little further by a co-worker that crossed a line of familiarity with me today. He dropped a defensive snark bomb at me as he left the back room. I have a talent for phenomenal one liners that have +12 to crit.

But, they're never insults. No, no insults are tacky, meaningless, and redundant. All it takes is throwing a personal truth back at someone and its enough to make them feel exposed and back off.

Who needs swear words and yelling when you have... a verbal mirror? :D Amirite?!
-He's in for it if he crosses that line-OH. Is he in for it.

There's a little lesson for my readers that hopefully can someday come in handy if needed.
Also, if we ever argue, and you're yelling and swearing at me, I'm going to commentate you.

J u n e   was kind of a wonky month. I went to Little Tokyo more than normal and went out to eat bunches. Spent way more money than I usually do. With the exception of Anime Expo and bills, July will get no $ out of me. Unless... there's a Ramen emergency...

BUT. I got this:

The bento Poppin' Cookin' candy kit :3
IT'S BASICALLY SO FUNNEST FOREVER
The other one I had we already did and recorded but I'm too lazy to edit the footage of it. Also, it's really dark. So you get this.

Just mix the shit with water and SCIENCE HAPPENS

There are color coded packets for all of the "ingredients" of the "bento" kit.
Green is for the broccoli, pink is for the hot dog, yellow = egg, blue is for the rice,
brown = chicken nuggets, orange = pasta, and black is candy sugar powder for the "seaweed" that goes on the rice balls. It's all candy and awesome.

BEST LUNCH EVER.
What does it taste like? Grape bubblegum. Not all of it but a lot of it tastes bubblegum-ish.
The "egg" tasted like lemon candy.

Not gonna lie: The dumbest shit makes me happy.

Being in Little Tokyo also motivated me to make little charms of my favorite little demon-creature-thingies from manga/anime.

Pre-baking + painting

Black Mokona and Kyubey! effing LOVE them.

Also I had a commission from a co-worker to do a little thing of his miniature Pinscher.

XD
I spent way too much time on it. Never again. but it came out really cute, and I know he'll love it.

This is the other magical girl I got in LT. Madoka! And Kyubey sits next to her, waiting patiently for her to succumb. TO DIE.

And because I have Mami, I'm gonna make a charm of the Charlotte witch in caterpillar form to put next to her. :D

Miss Lauren has been a recurring character in the thuper exthiting show that is my life.

She's so pretty.
Actually, now that I think about it, I have a lot of pretty gal pals.
Gentlemen....
yeah, I do. Cool, huh?

Look what she got me!!!!! She bought me a ring! The one that Angel gives Buffy for her birthday. And she has a matching one ^_^ The hands mean friendship, the crown is for loyalty, and the heart is for.. you know. ;)

We went to Little Tokyo the other day and went to Curry House for the first time.
OH MY GOODNESS YOU GUYS. The best. So good. Pricey, so I won't be able to eat there as casually as I do at Mr. Ramen, but it was awesome.

Yesterday we hung out and was super fun. She had me do her make-up. I was worried that she wouldn't like it. Turns out she lost her shit from excitement, and really loved it! lol. Rot saw it and said I made me look goth. haha XD

| R A N D O M    T H A N G |

-  He's a picture of Rot picking out a movie for me to nap to.

FRIDAY night DnD guy was like... BRAWL. and I was like MKAY.
So I went over there and we played BRAWWWWL. It was so fun! I haven't played Smash Bros in yeeeaaaarss, and struggled with remembering the moves but oh well! Had an awesome time. Sucks that I was as tired as I was. I feel like... we could totally pull an all-nighter thing. That was what I wanted! I even bought beer and brought it over with that intention, but I couldn't stay awake any longer and around 2-ish split for home and passed out. So fun though. He just BRAWL'd me a little earlier, but I work early tomorrow :( boo. SOON, BRO. SOON.

We even went to Ralph's to get more beer. Kaitlin hates laughing.

Oh last thing.

I did this to my boss's head.

It was fabulous. It was grand. It was taped together.
Why?
because I can.

Mind

I'm falling asleep at my chair...

Forgive me for this entry will lack the usual images. Though I will try to compensate by illustrating with the written word. SO CALM DOWN, K?

Fuckin' donuts, man. So good.
Speaking of donuts. Sugar.
Sugar...

Sugarcoating is not a method I follow.

I no longer want to post photos of myself on the internet. The last one that I displayed as what I believe is deemed as a 'selfie' will more than likely be its last. At least for a while. Unless, I'm captured with company. What I mean I guess is the selfie where the subject is booming with confidence and vain expression. This matters to me because recently it has been brought to my attention that my images are more than just that to some, and it makes me incredibly uncomfortable. The very thought of it makes me never want to get 'dolled' up ever again.

There's a point of view that I have which may not be very popular, and even narcissistic, but I feel that despite all emotional backlash, is quite logical.

When someone views you in a certain light, whether negative or positive, who is responsible for that?

We are always quick to tell or believe that a negative perspective from an audience is and should be easily dismissed. Why? Because it is a perspective that belongs to audience, and audience alone, having no real relevance to who you are as a person or your being.

It's easily understandable why this wouldn't apply to the positive side of it, because we as humans are social creatures and thrive on communal support, wanting if not yearning for some kind of recognition, or positive feedback on our ... everything that we do. I find the logic in this to be flawed, because despite the emotional yearning to want to be admired, it still has nothing to do with you as a person on why you are viewed in that particular perspective.

Your personality, and the way one comes off to another is a FACTOR of the mold that will form your audience's view of you. Nothing more.

With that said, the fact that I am viewed in a particular, uncomfortable, light truly and logically is not my concern. If it was up to me, I'd wish to erase myself entirely from social media so as to not have to restrict myself as I do. When people hang out with me, they find me more animated than I come across on the internet. This self censoring is deliberate. And I hate it.

I do not want to be seen in a sexual light at all, whatsoever unless it's made clear we're cool and at that point to joke about.
I do not care to be told how beautiful I am by certain people.
I do not care to be responsible for not complying to the standard of complimentary stimuli.
I do not care to be hit on.
I do not want to be examined. Like noting the titles I put on my uploaded images in the browser.
I do not want to be a friends' masturbatory catalyst- I rather suspend all of my accounts.
I do not want to feel concerned about being eye fucked or watched, by a friend.

It is NOT my problem, and I do not want to have to concern myself about the context of my words being taken in a way that would never, ever otherwise imply any sort of sexual undertones directed at anyone.

This is unfortunate for me, because a lot of my friends who are just bros to me and vise versa can joke and I don't have to wonder if they got excited, so I'd never be able to joke with them ever again about that topic.

I take this very seriously. There's very little that I do to deliberately pull that kind of attraction. VERY little. And it has come to a point of great frustration.

When you feel like you want to cover your ass with your purse in front of someone, I think it's time to make this issue heard.

With that said, don't fucking litter. It's gross.

This entry was meant to communicate my concerns to one anonymous individual, in addition to therapeutically unbottling my ire.

Now I'm going to nap, and I'll look ugly as fuck while I do.

Wayward

Little Tokyo hadn't happened in a long time. And then yesterday occurred. Yesterday basically negated that.

Oh, also...

^_^

Java Chip, Caramel, and Strawberries 'n' Creme Frappuccineez. (I don't wanna get sued)
Fimo clay is my new favorite clay ever. Sculpey can eat it.
Two of those were an order from work, and the other was just one I did for fun. But a co-worker wants to buy it, so I'm holding it for her.

Speaking of charms, USPS totally fucked me over with one of my shipments to Poo. She bought the bunny charm at the very end of last month, and I shipped it out the next day. There's a tracking update that said they got the info electronically, but that's it. It's been an uphill battle trying to figure out where that package is. I've emailed, phoned, and phoned again. Eventually I reached the post office where it should've been delivered from, but the girl couldn't help me much. I went to look at reviews on the place, and a lot of them say this PO in Van Nuys is.... crappy. To say the least. But the girl told me to try again Monday. I'M NOT GOING DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT.
It's the first time this has happened, and it's really frustrating. Poo has been super nice and patient. I told her if there's nothing else I can do to get her her package, I'll make another one for her. Grrr post offices suck!! >_<

Yesterday after work I came home and changed to split for Little Tokyo. It was kinda nice out and I was missing it. Also invited Josh to go, since he's never been and thought he'd like it. We made it there, and of course first thing we do is stop at Mr. Ramen. HIS FACE WHEN THEY BROUGHT OUT HIS BOWL, LOL.

I got him that shirt for X-Mas. It holds many truths.

uuuugggggh it was so good.
He was blown away and couldn't believe how delicious it was.
We both got curry ramen but he got chicken and I go beef. And pot stickers! Yum!
So full.
I kept encouraging him to try to drink more broth through the uggghh.
I knew he wanted to.

GET IT GIRL.

This time we went down into the little underground area with the other shops that have a billion collectables.
My first priority was to find Lauren's character.

Can you see her?

There's another one!

Aww. ^_^
Rei's so cyooot

!!!
Lauren and Sarah's characters!
Not gonna lie. Kyubey is my favorite. =(
SORRY YOU GUISE. HE JUST IS.
/人◕ ‿‿ ◕ 人\
It's basically logical.

We walked around everywhere. And I ended up buying a few things, as did he.
Aaaaaand I got me my usual mango boba slush!

We went to all the places ever in search of Madoka stuff, and the Kracie candy kits. Not surprisingly, they didn't have much Kracie stuff. The first grocery had sold out of them, and they only had the ones I don't want. Which are basically edible silly putty that you can make little things out of. I already do that with clay- I'm good. We also looked in the market inside the galleria. And they only had those kits too. Oh well. INTERNET SHOPPING IT IS.

Massive Rilakkuma is massive. And expensive. It's almost as massive as my nose

Bag-o-loot

I got volumes 7 and 8, finally! :D lol
It only took me forever.

:(

I told Josh about the bacon donuts. He said he was willing to try them and bought the little $1 one.
When I was there with DnD Guy he got one and said it wasn't pleasant. I don't think he finished it.

 Is it good....?

"It's not bad!"

I tried it, and I kinda liked it! haha
'murica.

It had been a long day. We were there for like 6 hours just walking around and looking at all the shops. But it was good times.

Stuffs I got!

Let's open the Madoka mystery box!

Who's it gonna be!?

Mami Tomoe!
Ugh.  :(
but YAY! I was really hoping for Kyubey but considering how I love all the characters, she's cool too :3
This little box was cute because you could put her together!

She's bigger, too. Compared to my other mystery box chibis.

This also got me to thinking that I'm probably gonna make a Charlotte caterpillar charm to sit next to Mami. Is that awful? Yeah, it is. BUT I MEAN HOW CAN I NOT?

Anywho, yeah. Yesterday was fun.

Today work was especially nice because a regular came in and gave me this:

I LOVE MY REGULARS!! Seriously, they are the best. It was so thoughtful! What a sweetheart he is.

And then today I spent a lot of my afternoon on the phone, trying to get USPS shit situated.
But then Rot asked me to join him for lunch! So I went down there to meet him for his lunch break. It was irritating because on Saturdays the traffic is crazy stupid, and to add to that there was an accident that blocked off the entrance to the garage. Soooo that put a damper on things, and I was about to just go home after calling him when I spotted a parking spot. So we ended up having lunch after all! ^_^
Pricey, but yummy

Now we're home and sleepy and getting ready for bed.

Nighty nighty!!

Oh. Just FYI, there's a video out there on the interwebs of GWAR doing a cover of Kansas' "Carry on my Wayward son."

yeah.

ASL

Yesterday evening Lauren stopped by to hang out and meet the boys before we headed out. She was a sweetie and brought us some left-over cake from her birthday night. She learned some things about The Sims 2. We're both apparently super big Sims 2 weirdos, and so I showed her how to customize her stuff even further with mods.

Turns out she also is like... the only one other person on the entire planet that loves the CATS musical as much as I do. NO ONE ever in my life has looked at me the way she did when I told her that I used to roleplay in an AOL chatroom back in the day called The Jellicle Junkyard. It was a rare and special, once in a lifetime, bonding moment. No longer will I face the cruel injustices of condescending, pity written stares from friend and foe alike over my love for Plato's super hot scene with Victoria during the mating dance.

Josh said he could rip a copy of my DVD for her. When I got home from work today I saw a dvd box on my desk with this one it.

It's probably the greatest thing in existence. I want this in massive poster form.
LOOK AT MUNKUSGRUMPYTRAP
He did this and it's the most amazing thing ever. Lauren I'm sorry I spoiled it for you but I couldn't hold it back. The world must know

This exists.

We headed out and it was about a 45 minute drive to get there. There being the ASL (American Sign Language) class she suggested I go with her to check out. Said so many amazing things about it. I have another friend, Kyrie, who also took an ASL class. She taught me a few things and I always thought it was very pretty to watch. It makes me think of the Drows' secret language that they use with each other when under pressing circumstances. They signal each other secretly with finger flicks and graceful hand flourishes to even just plan a kill. Drow are the shit like that. And that to me makes ASL even cooler.

HOW CUTE IS IT WHEN TWO BEST FRIENDS HAVE THEIR OWN CODED LANGUAGE THAT THEY WRITE TO EACH OTHER WITH?? I did that in Jr High. It was short lived, but felt special.

At first, not gonna lie, I was a nervous wreck. Having not been on a campus or in a classroom in several years, my anxiety started to kick in and I couldn't even look at Lauren to talk to her. So I resorted to texting just to not draw attention to us. Ugh.

She kept reassuring me that it would be okay, and that the students are probably way more nervous because they'd have to get up and do things in front of the class.

She was right.
I fell in love with the class. It is lectured by a husband and wife. Husband is deaf, but is an excellent teacher. Wife is of hearing, and also the translator. He is hilarious, and the way he goes into explaining "why" and the origins is so great. From the moment she entered the classroom she had a smile on her face the entire time. It was a 3 hours class I think? The students there had to stand up in front of the class in pairs to interpret and sign sentences for a test. They would give a thumbs up or down at the other's signing, gauging how well they did. I learned a lot! They are such phenomenal teachers. Lauren was a student of theirs. Watching her go back and forth with Peter and Margaret was mesmerizing. I'm envious. What a beautiful way to communicate.

After class Lauren and I stayed a little after to sit down and 'chat.' OH MY GOD The topic of Vic Morrow's death came up. Now... I'm not fluent in ASL but... LOL. My jaw dropped and Lauren exclaimed in laughter "that's so morbid!!!"
Margaret had (I'm guessing) signaled a helicopter with her right hand coming in towards her head with her fingers spread out and kind of wiggling, right at her neck and did a slicing motion really fast up the side of her neck. Peter was like YUP. VIC MORROW.
It was getting kinda late-ish so we said our goodbyes. All smiles and happy feelings and stuff ^_^

They glow together with such a happy, positive energy. And this is coming from the most bitter person ever. They're great. And I'm looking forward to the next time Lauren goes to visit them again.
Thank you so much Margaret and Peter, and Lauren. And Kyrie for introducing me to ASL.
Because of Kyrie I had a little bit of understanding and could follow somethings :)

Afterwards, we were super hungry so we stopped by a nearby Denny's. Unfortunately... my work schedule cut our late dinner short, but we stuffed our faces well. They have blueberry cheesecake smoothies!!! Next time. :D

mmmpf.

Today when I got home I had gotten yet another gift package in the mail.

As much as I love the gesture of giving and doing nice things for those you care about, I'm easy to overwhelm with such things and had to put a cease to it. Getting gifts in the mail as much as I was getting was overwhelming me and making me uncomfortable. I once saw this video on youtube from my favorite youtuber Dodger, and she worded perfectly how I feel towards receiving too many gifts. But this was pretty awesome to open up and get.

It's one of those Japanese make-your-own-candy kits. SO AWESOME. There's a youtuber that has loads of videos unboxing and preparing them. I wanna try them all, lol. So this gift was especially awesome. ^_^ Thank you, anonymous gifty giver person!

I'll probably open it up tomorrow. But I also kinda wanna share the experience with someone else. Maybe next time I go to Little Tokyo I'll get a bunch of these and do an unboxing of them all with someone on video. :D

Also, one last thing. I'm cleaning out my closet and getting rid of some clothes!! So I put up some listings for people to check out.

It's just cute stuff. Like this top :P

OK IT'S BURRITO TIME
