WHAT A FUN YEAR 2016 HAS BEEN, HAS IT NOT?

Well, as the New Year approaches and my 5 week hell begins (winter quarter), I figure I better dump a bunch of my little adventures here before I utterly hate life.

These are only a few, and are pretty back dated. But, delightful nonetheless ^^

At the beginning of this month, Ponies and I decided to go watch Bad Santa 2.

 We talk so much shit omg

And eat, and later stopped by Barnes & Noble 

and I accidentally got these.

 And I didn't take a picture, but Monster Musume vol 9 and 10 were there, but I didn't wanna blow a shit ton of money on manga all at once, so I put them back. 

And Ponies sneakily bought vol 9 for me

This manga btw is fucked up it's one of my favs.

Another one i really like is XXXHolic, which is also kinda messed up, but differently.

Pet Shop of Horrors is also pretty messed up.

One day I'm gonna get the Uzumaki book tho.

We got ice cream, and then had tea. and he wouldn't let me go through his Tinder, so I said if he let me pick girls for him I'd install Tinder on my phone and he could be a judgemental bitch with guys for me. So we did that

I picked some good ones for him. He's so lucky to have me

(he did pretty good with mine too. but he knows my tastes so it doesn't count!)

I uninstalled it a day later until my friend found me on there, told me, and i realized i had to deactivate it to delete myself from it (because i'm a dumbass).

I feel like if Doge and Ponies became friends, they'd just absolutely wreck everyone. And I'm so sad that they don't know each other because that kind of content is so good, yet so rare.

I headed over to Smiley's. It was late and I didn't wanna drive up in traffic the next morning, so he let me crash there. He set up a thing for a few of us to go have dim sum the next morning! ^_^

I read manga while he played Overwatch waiting for his friend to get there.

YUP.

So out of everyone he invited, it turned out to be just the 3 of us. Which was fine. Just meant more food for us!

I've never been to a Dim Sum place where you have a menu. We were all used to the carts, where you're just like, i want dat one! and they hand it to you and that's it.

Okay I lied.
I just remembered this place my ex's family took us to in Pasadena. They had a menu thing too.

We went on the Little Mermaid ride and talked shit about how wrong the story is. That was fun.

The thing you have to understand is that Hans Christian Andersen's stories were already for children. 

No matter how fucked up they were (to our standards).
Back in those days, kids weren't little bitches. So the fact that Disney took the Little Mermaid and bitch'd it up for bitch ass kids, when it was already a kids story, is like...

We were pooped after a while so Balls was like, lets chill in the hotel!

My coworker's birthday was 3 days before Christmas so I made this quick little thing for her. 

She's taken up calligraphy! It was last minute, but wanted it to be personal. She liked it :D

And then I started making a miniature of Hanzo's dragons, cuddling. I don't like how they came out though. I'll probably do another one.

Winter break has been a lot more relaxed than the last few months have been. I've stayed in a lot. Which has helped with saving money. This is good because school. I owe that to Overwatch, though lol. Frankly I much rather stay in and game than go out much. Being able to just go to work and come home and chill has been so nice. I wish I could just do that all the time lol. It's so nice!

Some big stuff is gonna happen in January. Huge one is with my mom. I can't elaborate but... ugh I just hope. For stuff.

Hoping for stuff. Yeah.

1. Do you have any regrets?

   Unsure. Sometimes I wonder what would've happened if I had just kept my mouth shut, but doubt the results would've changed.

 

2. Do you have a deep, dark secret?

   Not my secret, but I'm relevant. Just call me Gretchen Weiners.

 

3. Have you ever hurt someone?

   Several people. A flawed character trait used as defense mechanism

 

4. Have you ever self-harmed?

   High school!

   That weird smol guy that makes dinosaur noises but is a wee potato lady

   Mom, Dad, Ponies

 

7. Was there one event that changed your life and the way you think? 

   Lots of stuff. One specifically was after I got beaten up, my gym teacher came out and helped me to her office. She consoled me, told me she cared for me and that she saw a good person in me. To not let anyone make me feel shut out or lesser for looking or being a little different. She said she believed in me to get through everything. At the time, a lot of people grew to dislike me, including the friends I had. The whole school knew of me through nasty rumors and gossip. The stares sucked.

So, her words were a beacon that made me realize I don't actually need or want validation from anyone. That was a foundation to learning how to shut things and people out to not effect my ego or the things I do.

 

8. Would you sacrifice everything for love?

    With hesitation and regret. I've seen that first hand, and it'd be a miserable experience. 

9. Are you afraid of dying?

   Kind of. I'd feel like I'd be missing out on so much still. The idea of my consciousness just disappearing into nothingness is lame.

   Nope.

   Totally silent. My mind races and since I can't gather my thoughts or think rationally, it's difficult to express myself. I over analyze everything and until I come to a solid conclusion of how to translate what happened, I can't talk. It's very frustrating for both parties.

   Nooooooo. No way, man. Not gonna happen

   What? No that's stupid.

   It can if people let it. Both of my long term relationships had considerable age differences. My 5 year one was a 13 year difference. My last one of almost 2 years was 6 year difference. A lot of it came to misunderstanding and lack of communicating. One person is more experienced and sometimes lacks patience for the younger. While the younger relies on arrogance to level with the older. It's a tricky dynamic that requires both parties to be open-minded to differing perspectives and approaches to problem solving. They need to want to meet somewhere regardless of experience. If one feels they're above the other, they're doomed.
