Clarity

Since I got my first diary at something like 9 or 10 years old, I've always enjoyed writing down my thoughts and expressing myself. It's therapeutic for me. This is different for everyone, I guess. As I got older I felt there was less and less need for me to hide my thoughts. This made sense to me because I couldn't be the only person on the planet that had both negative and positive feelings, so who cares, right? Everyone expresses themselves different, whether they mean to communicate or not.

  • This one time I'd like to make very clear, on a personal level, to my readers, that this blog is not a means for me to passively communicate with anybody.

That's what everyone believes Facebook is for.

Today was perfect. Not because anything significant happened, but because I slept in until noon, woke up, played like 15 minutes of every game on my harddrive because I couldn't decide what I wanted to do. Layed in bed and played on my phone, played a game on my netbook, made lunch, did some more nothingness, and we went grocery shopping. Rot got lime tortilla chips with a salsa that tastes authentic. It's quite delicious. I got poptarts and sandwich stuff. Today was just a lazy day and perfect. The one thing that could've made it even better was watching Kindergarten Cop. But I hadn't thought of that until just now.

I work early tomorrow, so after this I'm gonna go to bed.

Anime Expo is in July and I haven't heard back from my usual con bro, so if anyone wants in, let me know. It's gonna be here in LA at the convention center. Tix are kinda pricey, but we'll see where I'm at by then. I have a debt I have to take care of first!

Rot came in here and had me taste his mojito. >_< agh. NEEDS SUGAR :D

There's this lunchbox I saw online that I wanna get so I can take lunches to work instead of buying food across the street. It's so cute. It shall wait. INVESTMENT? I don't know. Perhaps. ugh.

I've been having weird dreams about my favorite youtuber. They make very little sense. One took place at a convention. I'm stalling. Okay I'm going to bed. Happy... Tuesday Night! O_o

Sinister

   Hollywood! What can I say?

Dawn of Ashes was playing with Mankind is Obsolete. And Rot was DJing!

He left a little earlier than me to set up and do sound check. I was hoping to wear my new mesh contacts, but decided last minute that it would be too dangerous to drive at night with them in. I'll probably save them for a con ;). Of course Rot forgot something at home, so I walked my fabulous self in with a big ol'wound up cable -___- lol sigh.
Seeing everyone was nice. Vanna was doing merch, so I kept her company for most of the night. It can be sorta bleh at times if you're by yourself.

Dehk.

It was weird though in a way. I caught several repeated glances and stares from women I've never met before, and it made me uncomfortable. Other than that, the night went by and I was surrounded by enough familiar faces that made the evening more enjoyable ^_^.
Nero came up to me and hugged me. It was a little surprising. I hadn't seen him in forever, but he looks well. I'm happy for him.

Rot of course was his reclusive self, standing in the shadows, keeping conversations short. But I think he enjoyed himself at least a little. Probably mostly from DJing :P

We were relieved when we got home. It was a long day. Still fun though ^_^

I stripped the black out of my bangs in 2 days enough for that mixed color to take.
After so much treatment, your hair is over it and stops retaining anything. KINDA PROUD OF MAHSELF. I like this way better.
I'm too much of a hyper little spaz to have nothing but black hair. I NEEEEEEEEEEEED
cuteness. I NEEEEEED it.

RAWR

Krz made me aware that we totally missed our chance to dreadlock rape Kristof's nose.
NEXT TIME.

BERHURMURRRRR.
He's at least 7x bigger than me, so he had to hunch down.

Dranky drank. lookit hers.

She looked so purdddyy

Here's another one of Behemoth.
Which I turned into this:

Is better... no?

Lookits! I covered Rot's face because he didn't bother to get purdied up much, lol.
Rot: The giver of 0 shits.

ANGYANGANGANGANG

Oh lookie who it is again! Kent! I wonder if I'll see him at Big Wow (if I decide to go.)

My new business cards came in! I really like them. They're cuuuuuuute ^_^

Sunday morning I woke up to a missed call from Ponies. He was on his way to get me, and then get Jess. We were on our way to a Go-Kart racing track! It's this place in Burbank. We met up with Care and Poo. Very very fun ^_^

D'aww

It was scary at first, but once you got the hang of it it was really fun. You can make super sharp turns! I felt like Toad in Mario Kart XD
Which btw... I totally miss playing!

Jess won first place.
Ponies won second.

I came in 3rd!

Care was fourth.
Poo was fifth.

It was so so so fun! Afterwards we all went to Ponies' favorite Thai place. I ate so much that I had a food coma and got sleepy. >_<

Coconuts are delicious. I haven't had one in years. Had the milk in it and everything!

Afterwards we stopped by a Starbucks. I came in handy :D
Then we went looking around the nearby shops, and eventually went to the mall that was right
there. At that point, we ended up going to Hot Topic, and Care came in handy then. lol
It was a really nice day

Something unfortunately had happened towards the end that wasn't the most subtle, so I instinctively separated myself emotionally. I'm glad to know that things are okay now. However a part of me still is apprehensive and turned off.
That's probably normal though. It's about time I return to my reclusive habits.

So now, I will indulge in some Diablo III, M&M's, and Netflix. And mail out this order I just got! :D

Bats

After what had happened a few weeks ago I didn't feel much like writing. Although, there have been several good things that happened since:

I.  Blizzcon Ticket: AQUIRED

 - With the help of my friends, I was able to acquire a ticket to Blizzcon 2013. I don't think there's anything else this year that I'm looking forward to as MUCH as Blizzcon. It's definitely worth every penny spent. I'm thankful that I live 45 minutes away, because ugh... my feels if I didn't.
They were on sale for two days. The first was a fail. 4 people tried to get in the queue fast enough, but the tickets ran out before anyone got to checkout. Saturday we were more fortunate. Rot was actually the one that clicked fast enough to get in the queue early. I was with Ponies at Poo and Care's house.

Poo and Care are the newest characters in my blog, here. They also happen to be real people. Poo and Care, everyone. Everyone, Poo and Care.

We were on Ponies' laptop, and Poo was on her phone. Rot was here, ever vigilant. But we did it! And I was ecstatic. :D
Why was I at Poo and Care's? Well... Ponies and I were broing out and he had to drop off this 3rd book for Care. So he asked me to come with. You can bet your asses I was a nervous shit. When we got out of the car I began to get anxiety and became a little worried. Then I met Care. We nodded hellos, and followed her in. To my omfg surprise, their apartment was occupied with other beings. Many other beings. And I almost shat myself.

Eventually, I loosened up and Poo made me feel more welcomed. I think she could sense that I was about to fall apart or something because she took to me like that. And she asked me if I wanted to see their room, describing it as basically Halo 13. It ended up being a really good time.
I met one of the photographers that wants to work with me. Smallest world ever.

I threw up.

Not because of their room, but because of how delicious Poo's drinks were. I lost myself in the yummy strawberry lemonade-dom. Which happened to have a lot of vodka in it. BUT IT DIDN'T TASTE LIKE IT. Apparently I had 3? And the last thing I remember is my head on the table. poof. Next thing ya know, I'm sleeping and dreaming of puking, that felt incredibly realistic. And then waking up on a couch to Ponies at my side, and seeing pink shit on my lace cardigan. And daylight. And Poo sitting at the table with a smile on her face. And my boots on the floor, feetless.

But I wasn't hungover? Just mortified. That was the morning the second batch of tickets went on sale. It was a good morning. I got home and passed out.

II.  Bat's Day Weekend

Ponies had his 3rd book release that day! He had a booth and asked me to join him. If any of you have been following my twitter, you'd have known that I was a busy little badger making a crap ton of charms. How did I do? Well... there's hesitation. So. BUT he did really well, and I was glad of it. He's humble, and rather modest. I like to tell him to be proud of his intellect. It's a fierce weapon.
This was what I brought:

Many of them are up for sale! I only have a limited amount, so if you want one I'm so over it (for now) that once they're out, they're done lol.

The market was fun though. I was at the booth for most of it, but got a chance to walk around and check out the other booths. I didn't end up buying anything. It was all to be saved for Disneyland and turkey legs. We had the biggest inside joke of all time ever. And then it got even bigger towards the end of Bat's Day on Sunday night as we were headed out of the park. But it's mean, so.

Jess and I had a room in the same hotel the event was at. So fancaay.

We got there around 3:30AM. Jess works late, so I came down with her after she left work and got her stuff. It was nice because the lobby was empty and it was nice and quiet.

We slept in kinda, but Ponies was already there, waiting to set up. So were many other people, loading in all their stuff.

 Jess! She looked beautiful :)
I envy her enthusiasm and motivation to get all fancy and dressed up for events and clubs.
I can't do it. I mean, I can. And I'll get done up in my own way, but it's still like LOL AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THIS.
Yeah. I wore a Portal 2 t-shirt and shorts.

Everyone, that's Care. Not the one in the hat, no. That's Ponies. Care is the one with the muscle appendage protruding from her oral cavity in Ponies' direction.

It was a long day. We had lots of laughs. And I even was stricken with curiosity towards one of the guards. There was a gallery with Star Wars art in it. Of course the Jedi theme is playing in the background. When the crescendo played, the guard busted out his phone and turned on his lightsaber app in perfect timing with the music.

Boner? Yeah. Pretty much.  And then he took his shirt off and was walking around in a white tank top once the visitors left, and it was just vendors packing up. I LITERALLY DIED

Afterwards we were all supposed to go eat dinner together. All being: Ponies, Jess, Poo, Care, Cate (Care's lil sis), Kyle (photographer for the Bat Pack shoot I did) and his friend. I don't know how to spell her name =\. BUT it just turned out to be myself with Jess and Ponies. It was delicious. Jess ordered everything in existence Japanese cuisine has to offer.

 | The next morning |

 Goths invade Disneyland.

It's always fascinating to me to watch the reactions of the non-gothies. They're so confused. No clue what's happening except for the freaky folk in black and pin stripe in every which way they turn. The last 2 Bats Days I've attended, people were cute in the way a kitten curiously examines a large new black pillow made of monster fur on owner's couch. Such a happy place, that couch. But wtf is that?

Like that pillow, we look all wonky but inside we're softies and cuddly. Except this year we had some nasties stare daggers and even went out of their way to make yucky comments at us personally. Which brings me to this point: I was under the forced assumption that the ooky spooky Goth kids were the ones who are the mean, unapproachable people to be afraid of. But here we find that it's the total opposite, and it's normal every day people who are the jerks. For no reason! Makes me sad.

A part of me takes advantage of this knowledge and abuses the shit out of it at my work. The regulars know me, and I can say confidently that they like me. They must also be curious. But I love it when non-regulars... when they smile at me, and I smile back. We exchange thank yours and you're welcomes. Friendliness. And every time that occurs it makes me hopeful that they view Gothies in a different light. Some of the customers that have seen me initially have since opened up more to me, and smile. And it's little things like this that make me appreciate my job a little more. I get a chance to show people that Gothies, albiet a little darker in everything (even humor), are not bad people!

--UNLESS YOU'RE A TOTAL CROTCH TO ME OR MY CO-WORKERS.

But that's neither here nor there :D

ANYWHO onward with more photos!

 Poo, Care, and Cate. :D

Poo's feet hurt so Care assisted in remedying the situation. It was funny because implied things.

They're so cute I hate them ugh.

I kept taking pictures of them because they're my favorite couple ever.
THEY'RE SO UGH

Momma and her babies were wandering around the fairy..place with the mushrooms and giant flowers. The fairy bridge? The fairy path? The fairy road? idk.

I ended up getting pajamas, and a jack skellington plushie. and a turkey leg. and chocolate from that candy store. and that bread soup thing. and and and I can't remember what else but it made me happy.

I wear these pajamas all the time. No regrets. And I rearranged my dresser so all my plushies and awesome shit are on it lookin all badass with my sword.

I like this photo. See how modest he is? It was a great weekend. Way better than I had anticipated.

III. Truck

Rot wanted me to mention this! haha

We went grocery shopping. As we got into the car to leave, there was a semi parked that was blocking us in kind of. It was for the store. He would inch forward, but then back up slightly. Rot decided... it was a good idea to try to back out as quick as we could. GUESS WHAT.

We backed out, and he started going in reverse. It was probably one of the most horrifying feelings, after the gun in my face thing, that I've felt. I thought we were going to get hit! Just watching that massive vehicle inching closer and closer. Rot was still backign out when he realized the semi was moving. He quickly changed gears and accelerated back into our SAFE parking spot. The truck was maybe 4 feet away from the driver seat. UGH. my heart. MY CAR. But I will commend Rot on his excellent driving skills and reflexes that got us out of what he got us into. XD
In my panic, admittedly it was also exciting. Scary though.

This weekend is the Dawn of Ashes show at Bar Sinister. Rot will be DJing and I will be there for moral support as usual. Hopefully I won't be as repelled as I am thinking I might very well be, but who knows.
I have m&m's.

k I'm going to bed.
