Psyclon 9 had two shows last week! Exciting, mm? They're also going to be touring again after like 4 years or something crazy like that. It's weird because it hasn't felt like that to me. I can still remember their last tour with Imperative like it was yesterday. Ah, that tour.... that tour was... eye opening, haha.

They had two shows... one on Wednesday night which featured two former members of Psyclon from back when the band was still electronic, and Thursday with Psyclon's current material. We had Josef stay with us for two days! Josef's a co-founder, and played keys in old school Psyclon. He barely remembered me. I met him briefly at a Psyclon show back in 06, when Rot and I were first getting acquainted. Take that out of context, I dare you

I hope he enjoyed his stay with us! From my understanding they had many a bro talk way into the wee hours of the night. I was too busy playing Bioshock =\ and/or sleeping. Steam has a sale right now, so... yeah.

I didn't go Wednesday night due to work on Thursday.
It was a good day. My boss was stressing out, so we went to eat Ramen after work and unwind a little.
She's a good chick. Though sometimes I worry about the toll our location takes on her, leading to the decisions that she has to make based on such crappy settings.

mmmmm ramen. omg you guys... just wait.

Thursday night Psyclon did awesome! As usual I kept to myself and exchanged hellos with the bros, but other than that... arms length. When Rot warns me about a certain group of people.. I listen, now. haha I don't even acknowledge them. Why? Because the last time I didn't listen to him... well... it was eye opening XD

I would've liked to take more pictures that night but it was so dark! And I hate flash =\
They had two rehearsals, and considering that.. I think they did awesome. They've only been around for 10 years so I guess they know how to entertain, eh?

 Rot got a new cabinet that he finally filled with stuffs. 

A remnant of me is hidden on there.

In hindsight I regret being the useless trophy that just stood to the side and watched, but still felt like I was involved? lol

What an idiot I was.

Suffice to say, there was a LOT of gear to transport to and from the rehearsal spot, so I followed Rot over there and helped unload with as much my 5'2 frame would assist with.

I stopped caring. Known them (Jon + Marshall) for years. Not trying to impress anyone.

SO THAT WAS FUN. Rot said I could stay if I wanted but....

but afterward, they all came over to hang out for a little while.

BUT... I could hear some of what they were saying and looooooooooooooolz.

Marshall remembered Moncchihi and asked about him. So naturally I had to bring him out.

Good times. 

Moncchihi was a thing. He was photogenic and everyone was subject to be chi'd. This time around it was Jon. Jon was chi'd. 

I have a folder of chi victims. 

I guess I could show you all.

SO YEAH. Moncchichi was a thing.

(I gave Nero that nickname because he knows my favorite taco bell combo meal on the menu.)

 This reminded me of when I did make-up for my high school's production of Kiss Me Kate.

After the show and getting everything situated and organized and where who was going where, we packed up all the gear, in all 3 cars, and headed home. Josef was leaving the next morning. I wish he could've stayed a little longer. He's awesome. And I had plans to go to Little Tokyo. but we told him he's welcome back any time to crash. 

We heart you, Josef!! 

Friday.... Little Tokyo. It's been a while, and I had just gotten paid. So. duh

I kinda wanted to be a loner, but not at my computer. so I was a loner at Little Tokyo.

Of course.... I went to Mr. Ramen. I did it kinda backwards this time though. Normally that's my first stop, but this time I went to the grocery to get stuff for my nieces. I'll be in Pennsylvania for over a week and wanted to get them stuff. LT is fool proof. So I got stuff there, and checked the book store for any other Puella Magi volumes. They had all the Madoka volumes, but only the first Kazumi volume which makes me think that's the only one that's out right now? but I did leave there with something...

Now remember... I already have 4 out of the 6.

I knew what I was risking.

I knew.

And I was ready to regret.

I opened it when I got home. Rot was excited to use a feature on his new Galaxy that takes a picture and records a few seconds of audio in that moment.

The last two other Madoka blind boxes that were there also came home with me.

I don't wanna talk about it.

but all in all it was a good trip. I did the usual stuff I do. Ramen, grocery, book store, boba slushie, and window shopping. Good day. The traffic on the way back was shit, but it was nice to be out of the house on my own for a change. 

It exhausted me unfortunately, so I stayed in the rest of the day.

Doing Bioshock things. 

TODAY:

I saw my Lauren. She was feeling a little blue, so we went out to lunch at Denny's and talked for a while. YOU GUISE.

She was at a con and brought me back something. The sweetest thing ever.

Two gems from the Madoka Magica anime!!!

The one on the left is a grief seed that witches drop once they're killed.

They drain any like... residual bad feelings and despair out of the magical girls' soul gems.

Because that would eventually lead them to become witches if they don't.

The one on the right is Kyoko's soul gem.

BASICALLY...

Once Kyubey contracts with a Magical Girl, her soul gem is created which houses her soul completely severed from her body. Kyubey's logic behind this is.. because she's sworn to protect humanity against witches, it's safer and convenient to store their souls somewhere that won't jeopardize their physical form in combat. Which I totally agree with.

The girls don't know this when they contract with him though so they're all like WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU when they find out. Which.. is understandable.

I leave this entry with a magnificent quote from Kyubey, following a scene about the girls discovering their souls are housed inside the soul gems, accusing Kyubey of tricking them;

Witch

   If   any of my readers follow me on any of my other follow-able mediums, you might have noticed...
      that I've lately become a little captivated over a specific anime character.

Just a tad bit.


Is it Kyubey? That white cat thing? Kinda. But no.

It's a character from the Puella Magi anime (duh) and help I can't stop it.

Her name is Charlotte. She is one of many "witches" in this anime, which (lol) is basically a corrupted Magical Girl. I think she has the saddest back story of them all, and I wish she had her own episode about it and how she came to become what she was.

She's kind of a villain. But I don't see her that way because all she wanted was cheese.

She is called the Dessert Witch. Her labyrinth is full of sweets and pastries, but those weren't enough to sate her love of cheese. SHE JUST WANTED CHEESE. IT'S NOT HER FAULT THAT MAMI'S HEAD LOOKED LIKE A PIECE OF CHEESE, OKAY? IT'S NOT. I MEAN IT DOES. LOOK AT IT. WTF WOULD YOU DO IF YOU REALLY WANTED CHEESE, AND SOMEONE WHO LOOKED LIKE CHEESE CAME AT YOU? AMIRITE? UGH

So yeah... I made Charlotte charms.

Took me all day. I regret nothing.

Charlotte got two forms when she became a witch.

There's a crap ton of speculation as to why exactly she got two forms, which (lol) is rare.

But the basic story is that Kyubey:

(this little fucker)

came to her while her mother was in the hospital, terminally ill with cancer.

He contracted with her (to become a Magical Girl) in exchange for one wish.

Her wish was to be able to sit and eat sweets and cheese with her mother one last time (as they always did) before she passed away. (D'oh!)

He granted her wish, but she realized that she could've used her wish to instead save her mother, and was so distraught that she fell into despair immediately- instantly turning into a witch. 

SO MANY REGRETS.

There's a theory that Kyubey planned this, to pressure Madoka into contracting with him. 

They say that while he sat on Madoka's shoulder as they approached the hospital to see Sayaka's ill crush, he telepathically sensed Charlotte's utter desperation and sent one of his other bodies to contract with her. 

Once she became a witch, her grief seed (little trinket with her soul inside) would be inside the hospital and trigger her labyrinth once they approached.

Only a Magical Girl can kill a witch.

Oh. I also bough some games off Steam because they have a massive sale right now and everything hurts from being so happy.

STAHP

  The Madoka Magica manga has a different visual execution of Kyubey than the anime. They give him facial expressions, and it adds even more creepiness imo. Because I was introduced to him as an expressionless demon-cat thing, it's strange to me to see him show emotion on his face. Hm. 

Lauren and I spent the day together watching movies. Which movies? LET ME TELL YOU. 

Sex and the City was the first. 

I absolutely love that show. It's not one of those shows that I would consider bad-good because, for me at least, it's helped me look at different point of views from all different kinds of situations with different stages of life involving relationships with other people, and ... I GET IT. It's just a good show. A good example of a bad-good show for me would be... Gossip Girl or Once Upon a Time. ugh. 

ANYWAY, we watched that and then Lauren suggested we see the second one. I haven't seen the second one, she has. So... that happens. For that to happen we had to get to Fry's. I learned today that Fry's... has an amazing selection of movies for really cheap. Never knew this. They have EVERYTHING. Did anyone else know this? Because it would've been great to know. Honestly, I prefer Fry's over Amoeba. Or maybe I just suck at looking for stuff at Amoeba but dayum. 

ANYWHO. 

Fry's was a thing. We also stopped by Sbux for coffee. Aaaaaand I was so amazed by their selection that something happened. 

I don't even remember... what happened. 

Just, suddenly I'm at a check out line with two animes and the SaTC movies and

We watched the second one once we got home. Fry's was a long thing. We were there for a while, admittedly. I don't know how long of a while, but it was... extended.

And it was good.

We also went to Blockbuster. She got Bully and I believe is watching it as I write this.

Buying Shi ki was a struggle. They didn't have the dvd set. Only the blu-ray/dvd set and since the PS3 is out in the living room I honestly have no use for a blu-ray disc. but... WHATEVER. Life is short? So. that happened. Please don't google it. I'm already ashamed enough as it is for succumbing. 

Thankfully though... I sold an order today, and have a large commission that I will be starting this week once things are set and go through. Large like... 40 pieces. 

I am extremely grateful that someone wants to be a rep of Noob Charms at a vending show, so that's a thiiing. Perhaps they will be a distributor moving forward, pending on how things go. ;)

Oh, the other day I made Lauren play the Binding of Isaac.

It was cute watching her struggle with her MacGyver job bandaged finger. She had cut herself within the worst place to do it because for SOME REASON unbeknownst to me we just don't have band-aids. Why? No clue. So. She's bleeding. She cut herself deep enough to where it just kept bleeding and wouldn't stop. So we wrapped her finger in toilet paper and fastened it with packing tape. The bulkiest most obnoxious band-aid ever. Her cut bled right through it- BUT THE TAPE... the tape is plastic. Can't bleed through that ;D

It was stupid.

Anyway, yeah. That was fun to watch. She's more of a console chick. BUT I CAN LOOK PAST THAT. IT'S COOL.

I felt bad the last couple of days because DnD guy has been wanting to brawl it up again, but I've been busy with the con and our schedules just clashing. SOON. Soon bro. *hugsies* wub choo.

My laundry's done I think.

I'm just glad that I have all this stuff to watch while I work on my order. 

Speaking of which... There's some more stuff that I'm going to be selling on my E-bay soon. Cute stuff like before. ;)

The end of this month will be strange for me. I'll pretty much be gone for over a week, visiting my family in Pennsylvania. When I get home I will have moved to work at a new location. Nervous about that, but also looking forward to it. My body could use a rest from the insanity of where I am right now with work. Though, I will miss a few of my co-workers who have gained my admiration and respect by sticking through the bs. They were the reason I lasted there as long as I did!
