Blizzcon 2019

At the beginning of this month, we all gathered at the Anaheim convention center once again to share in all things Blizz. This year takes the cake for favorite Blizzcon. Hands down.

Our Blizzcon started a bit differently, as we met up super early for our shifts to start. I was working in Darkmoon Faire this year, (Chicken and I didn't work it last year) and I can't begin to explain how beautiful it looked. Especially for something to look at first thing in the morning before we opened the doors. I was really excited!

Long shift was long, but attendees were SO sweet. They were happy to chat, and some folks even went out of their way to say nice things to me about their experience so far, what they're excited about, if I wanted to have dinner with them, or that they liked my hair lol. I loved it! It was so much fun. I don't recall ever being hit on so openly before. Was a learning experience for sure, but uh everyone was excited to be there! Haha :D

I had a Friday shift at pin sales. A bunch of our friends also had Friday morning shifts, so once our shifts were done, we all eventually met up to enjoy the con.

This is my coworker, Randell.
You may have seen her chalk art shared somewhere on the internet before. She is the artist who drew the chalk murals at the Blizzard Starbucks :)

This year, she was working at the HyperX booth doing a livestream of her process. She is a gem, and we're all so proud to have her at campus. I'm sure many of us stopped by to check in on her and say hello and show our support.

In case you're curious, she can be found across social media platforms under @TiamatsTavern

Following that, we just wandered and went to see all of the things!

The Hearthstone tavern this year was so cool. The bards were back, and the whole area was decked out. So beautiful T_T

D4 wasn't playing around this year.

Lilith blew everyone away. And that's saying something because if you think about it, how easy is it to get everyone to agree that they all want one of your characters, like from Hell, to step on them?

A huge treasure this year, for me, was the arcade. An homage to the foundations of Blizz, and also a cool way to make them accessible to everyone. It was absolutely beautiful. The teams did great putting this together. I think it was my favorite space this year. We all spent a lot of time down there just kickin back and playing some games.

Seeing all these old boxes and loot from back in the day made me smile. I remember seeing that WoW keyboard in stores. I also remember how I felt when WoW was announced, after falling in love with Warcraft 3 as much as I did. Without those old Warcraft games, WoW wouldn't be here. And seeing all of these reminders was sobering. In a good way. Never forget!

Cosplays, as always, breathtaking, unreal, and adorable.

Best crew guy ever award goes to Carlos for taking dudes' photo with sea waifu.

The concept art for Shadowlands looks... right up my alley. I'm so ready for that expansion. Like, last year.

I forget what demo we were at, but someone from work spotted me and gave me an arcade coin! When we see each other at work, I only hope my enthusiasm for his project doesn't make him uncomfortable. I can never tell, but that doesn't stop me lol. Evidently, it doesn't! :D YAY

we suck at posing

This beer was not only cute, but also really good! But I'm biased, because I like IPAs. It was fruity. And while beer isn't my favorite booze, when I do drink it, I'm extremely selective. This one by bottle logic was pretty good. Bottle Logic always does a good job with this. lol, I've yet to step foot into a brewery though xD

srs gamer faces
After everyone else called it quits, I kept playing other stuff. That got me another arcade coin :D

i got pwnd :(

One place we definitely wanted to explore was the D4 experience.

It was so awesome in there. I can't believe how much detail there is. "Put a lot of love into this" is an understatement. They summoned demons to help, I'm sure of it.

I BOUGHT HER. SHE WILL BE MINE NEXT YEAR
it hurt.
But it's fine. She's beautiful.
I've no idea where she's gonna go. She's massive. And... I don't have room lol for anything anymore. I have a problem with collecting stuff T_T

Ah, everything in there was so beautiful.

Our hungry bellies demanded sustenance. We walked to Denny's.
and WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT
that THIS DUDE would basically HAXXORZ the claw machine and win two plushies lmao
jk he didnt' haxxorz anything but his first attempt was rewarded with the blue cat. And then his second attempt .... the frankenstein. And we were like... tf man. Who does that. He's too pro

The next day, since we all worked our shifts, we were able to do whatever. First stop, check in on Randell :)

Next stop:

Told ya, arcade was awesome.
Some of us still had to work that day, but that didn't stop us.

We've been watching episodes of Pure Pwnage lately and. it's showing.

So... everyone fell in love with this good working K-9 unit floof. One of the security dudes was patrolling and stopped to snap a photo with the Raynor statue. That's when I went up and asked if it was okay to give pets. He said ya and T____T

SORRY, I FORGOT HIS NAME and he has an instagram BUT I FORGOT THAT TOO. I'm horrible, please forgive me :(
But k9 baby was so sweet and knew all of the commands and had the cutest face. I love police doggos, they're treasures.

The haXor was working so we got in line to harass him

So salty.
He signed my poster as salty boy
because that's what I call him at work
LOLZ

STRONGK.
That's all I can say about these peeps. They're dope, and strongk, and amazing. Also thanks for not laughing about my phone :D

Maaaaaaaaaaaadiiiiii
I wub her.
Also, gotta make stuff for her :3
Having some time off soon is gonna be awesome. I can finally give her cute stuff ^_^

Three arcade coins!
The third one I got from helping out in the arcade. Friendos needed halp, so we helped them. And he gave me a coin. It was like ... questing lol.
So like, all in all, these are kinda special to me. Except for the one I got from just like, playing games. The other two are special xD
I ended up giving one to one of the devs who had a role in the arcade, but they weren't able to see the finished result of it. So I gave them a coin.

Darkmoon faire was boppin the entire time. Just non stop.
Woo!

so dope.
I got to play The Lost Vikings and Blackthorne!

Since we hadn't played OW2 at all, we went and played the demo. Was really fun :D

And at the end of the second day, we stopped by Randell's spot one last time to see how far she got.
Considering the amount of time she had, this was really cool. I'm wondering if she'll work on it again at another Blizzcon. That'd be pretty awesome!

Ahh, that was such a fun weekend. It's been said already how proud I am of everyone that made this all happen, but I'm still like, smiling when I think of how it went this year. I don't think I spent much time outside the convention center this year. With the exception of food. Everything inside was amazing.

It was bittersweet. And for some, Blizzcon wasn't over just yet. The cables, machines, set ups, statues, and stages weren't gonna break down and pack themselves up. Those folks deserve some love, too. But all in all, this year was great :D

AND ON MONDAY, OUR BLESSED MOTHER CAME TO MY BUILDIIIINNNGGGGG

Right in front of the Demon Hunter, tsk tsk tsk. Poor Illidan. Maybe he'll finally get over Tyrande this way xD

JJAAAAYYYKAAAAYY

And now we near the holidays. The months go by so quickly. It feels like summer was just here. I've already eaten two panetone cakes by myself. I can feel the pounds coming on again. It's worth it.

And I'm on the last boss in Sekiro. he sucks ass.

I want ice cream now :\
