I'm almost ashamed to say that most of the times that I've been going out have been subject to hunts. Pokehunts that is. And my want for exploration and wanderlust has made it easy for Ponies to scoop me up and take us to get food. I'm not complaining.
But man oh man... the sun is very, very... um. It's out there. In the day time. And it's loud.
I can feel it screaming all over my skin.
Being a Pokemon trainer is tough, guys. I can't even find my SPF 100. Tomorrow I'll be forced to bust out the parasol. I can't take it anymore!

So like, since I heard that ghost types were in cemeteries, I took it upon myself to brave the UV rays (because the other night they weren't there) and go back and actually walk the grounds.
There was definitely death.... :(
But no dead Pokemon.
BUT THERE WAS A DAMN RHYHORN AGAIN.
I had gone with my housemate, and once we finished hunting there, he suggested we go to a nearby park he said had a lot of people. So we went!
I didn't get photos there, but we did end up meeting this young couple who were also in pursuit of a Koffing. They were cool, and joined us on our trek to venture around Downtown Fullerton for more Pokebabies.
FUNNIEST STORY TIME:

Okay, remember in an older entry when I said I was in Disneyland, and went to California Adventure with super low battery and was all pissed off because the servers went down while I was on Haunted Mansion? And I tried to catch the Drowzee (I hadn't captured him yet) that was there but the app crashed and I caught an Onix instead?
SHE WAS THERE. AND SHE CAUGHT THE DROWZEE AND WANTED THE ONIX.
Right next to the Grizzly Falls sign AROUND 3:30 IN THE AFTERNOON SHE WAS THERE

She wasn't able to capture the Onix, and I showed her mine and told her how I caught it and ... guys. It was a moment. LOL
I named my Onix after her, "Rynix"
It's funny where life takes us sometimes, huh? ^_^
We hung out all afternoon hunting da Pokebabies in DTF.
It was a good day. We started around 11 that morning I think. Didn't go home until around 7:30. Bless Subway and Starbucks for their outlets, lol. But we had a lot of fun ^_^
I wanted to take my coworker somewhere really nice, because she was curious about Pokemon Go and had just installed it on her phone. Soooooo I put on my favorite hunty shirt
And brought her to my favorite spot to visit at night: Redondo Beach Pier
It was, as the kids say, "lit."
Tons of people, and while I forgot exactly what did we went, it was a weekday for sure. Still super packed. Was awesome though.
It took her a bit to get the hang of it, but I was cheering her on the whole time lol
Ahhh, I love Redondo so much ^_^
So pretty, and I have fond memories here.
What's better than a beautifully lit pier, the ocean, sea lions (1am and later), the breeze, the shops and food, and now the stroll through the pier to catch Pokemon? I mean, besides staying at home and eating and gaming.
They have blooming onions, and boba, and ice cream, and just so much yummies!

I don't think Pokemon Go is for her, but at least she had a nice time out and got to see the pier at night.
There's a restaurant there that I want to go to some day. It looks super fancy and is probably crazy expensive-- it's like some weird french japanese fusion place... I'm gonna save up and go there. I must! The outside of it looks cool, too.

So there was this Pokemon Go meetup in Downtown Disney last week? I think?
My stupid ass decided to go in cosplay lol
I went with my housemate. It was crazy packed!
We got there around 8 in hopes of finding the meet up group, but it was just chaotic. So we walked around and took advantage of the lures.
Was cool though! I got stopped a bunch from people who recognized my cosplay ^_^
It made my tummy jump with happiness every time someone called out "Sabrina!"
Which in turn made me feel like less of a loser, haha

LOL so I was sitting in the patio looking for Pokemans when Vesta comes up and just stands right next to me. I'm totally ignoring her, not even realizing it was her, too focused on seeing if anything pops up on my Nearby screen, when after a few seconds she laughs a little and goes, "hey!"

It was about time I went to see what the crap everyone was freaking out about at SM pier.
I met Oppa there and was greeted by lovely, rude as fuck cat callers before spotting him sitting on a bench a few feet away.
It was... packed. Super packed. But it felt nice being there amongst all the other dorks with the same mission lol.
Our hunt was fruitful. He finally managed to catch is favorite Pokemon. (issa secret)
we'd walk the entirey of the pier, then down the walkway to this homeless guy's house, then back up to the pier. It was the first time I was close to running out of Pokeballs.
I don't know if he practices ugly poses in the mirror or they just come naturally to him or what like wtf is this Oppa y u do dis y

Few days ago, Smiley invited me to go with him to this baby food market thing in DTLA.
Food? Yes please!
I got to his place around a bit after 10:30. He was still in jammies when I got there, lol.
We didn't leave until way after 11, almost noon. Here's why:

SO. LET ME TELL YOU A THING.
Turns out, we were gonna meet up with 2 of his friends later that afternoon to go to some day time dance club thing. He'd never been, neither have I.
It was like 2-ish. So we just crashed at Smiley's until like 4-ish and headed down to Hollywood to meet them there.
Turns out this day time club thinge is that hip hop day club that's right next to Amoeba, that I've heard about for years while I was with my ex. Every Sunday. He'd tell me about the awful music and the people LOL, because he works right on the other side of that building and gets to hear it every week.
WELL.
We get there, and meet them in line.
I know one of the guys already, but not the other. Smiley introduces us. I'll call him Skulli. He was wearing a cute shirt with skulls on it. I posted it on instagram :P
So... yeah. I didn't take any photos there because... it's not my scene. I felt incredibly out of place, the music was... off putting, there were people dry humping, shouting, being obscene, and it was so crowded to the point of like... feeling peoples' sweat rub off on my arms as they squeezed through the crowd trying to get through. Not to mention with how drunk many people were, I was afraid that someone would spill their drink on my phone. I got hit on by drunkards and didn't want to be left by myself because... I'd get approached by drunkards. While they went off a little, I could still see Skulli glancing back towards me, just keeping an eye on me and for that I'm appreciative.
But personally, the whole thing was just...
It was easy to tell that a lot of the people there were looking to fuck. I've never been to a club like that, and frankly I'd be okay not returning to that scene ever again. It was like watching zoo animals in heat.
SO. ANYWAY.
Around 7, we finally leave for dinner.
I don't know who it was that suggested we get ramen but i love you, and thank you. When Smiley asked me if ramen was okay, my heart lit up and everything felt tranquil, despite my surroundings.
We promptly left and met up with them at Tatsu.

I ordered a banana split. Why did I do that? I don't know. I couldn't finish it.
They had some, and there was still a lot left.
But it was a fun day, despite the club. Even if I personally didn't enjoy it, it was still fascinating to observe people in that kind of environment. I'd never seen so much concentrated hedonism in my life, so it gave me an opportunity to sort of... just.. take everything in and theorize and try to register this kind of behavior and try to understand what was occurring.
And then Ponies and I went and got ramen the next day, lol.

Mimikkyu's already a ghost Pokemon, so this is kinda meta, buuuuuut it's so cute at the same time I couldn't help myself! ^_^
This is pre-baking. I haven't baked him yet, but once I do I might recolor him. Idk yet. We'll see.
