Twenty Something

Getting older is depressing after like, 25. Not only because you're aging, but also because your perception of things slowly morphs into one of apathy towards everything ever. 

I think now, the only things I get super excited about are cons and food markets. Or just food in general. More specifically ramen. Or sushi. 

When something angers me, I generally sigh really hard, and think to myself "why are you stupid" and then move on with my day. 

But the good thing about this apathy is that brushing things off is a lot easier- which opens doors to lots of other stuff ^_^ 

My 30's are gonna be fun. Of this, I am sure. 

Speaking of food, 

look at this shit:

I forget when this was, think like 3 weeks ago, and Smiley brought us to this place near his house. 

It's chili cheese fries with bacon and pastrami. And it was insane.

 He ate like 68% of it. I don't know where it goes.
That man will eat anything you put in front of him.
It probably goes to his arms.
I don't know, I'll ask him next time. For blog reasons.

talk about this cologne

I love this cologne. My friend wears it, but I know someone else who I THINK wears it took. And when I hung out with my friend and noticed it, it reminded me of the other person. And I was like omg. Because the other person smelled sooooooooooooooooooo good. And so I asked my friend what he was fucking wearing. And it's this.
And let me tell you.

It's a very, very, very sexy scent. I don't describe anything as sexy except for food. but this....
this, you guys, is unreal.

Okay lets move on I feel better. 


I wasn't kidding about the night markets.
There was one a few weeks ago here in Orange County. 

T and I went on Sunday to avoid the massive crowds that Fridays and Saturdays generally draw in. 

Everything was so beautiful. I could cry.
Every single time I walk into a night market, my heart grows 3x larger and I'm just. so happy. 

The day was ours to conquer. 

BURRITOS- BUT THE KOREAN KIND.
We of course hit up Seoul Street after grabbing some slushie things in jars that were kinda meh. But the burritos fixed everything. 

And I forget what else we got, but towards the end of the night we got crepes. From Bonaparte foodtruck. and fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
I got the banana ... creme pie one I think it was. T_________T 

And octopus ceviche omg
It was a good day. Good friend, good food, and we fasted the whole day for this. 

That's the only thing that I don't like-- if you're gonna go hard at a night market, you gotta fast for like, at least a day. AT LEAST.

I have been blessed by the ramen gods to be able to go out and have as much ramen as I do.
It's gotten a little insane.

Doge decided birthday ramen was necessary. Who am I to argue?

So,  I forget what day we went. I think it was like, Wednesday or Thursday. But we went to Disneyland and he said I could get a Happy Birthday pin, so we did that.

I was stoked. How often do people get to go to Disneyland for their birthdayyysss?
Well, mine was on Tuesday, but this was still cool :D
Except for the fact that we didn't know it was closing at 9, and we got there around almost 8? lol

The park was really empty, and we were wondering why the fireworks were on so early!
Welp. Yeah, lol. So we decided to go on one ride before splitting:

Good ol' Splash Mountain.
It's surprising they haven't done something to like, change it?
I only say that because this day and age, the theme for that ride would normally be under attack by the entire internet and every social justice tumblr user until Disney did something about it.

Oh well. Zippidy doo-dah!

There was already Halloween stuff out, and the Haunted Mansion was shut down for renovating.

That weekend, I got to see Oppa ^_^ 

Out of the blue he asked me if I wanted to get lunch. We met up super impromptu in Little Tokyo

How I've missed Little Tokyo!

I think I've mentioned this before, but every time he and I hang out, we always end up sitting in his car talking for like 5 years-- and it's never planned. It always just happens that way for one reason or another. 

It happened again, lol. Our car talks are really nice. I could talk to him forever and never get bored.

Excited doesn't even begin to cover it. I've walked by this place at least an infinity times, but never went in. It was always packed.

I get a lot of shit from my asian friends about this, lol. They joke, but like... I can't help that I think asian dudes are attractive, generally, sometimes, to me?!? AND I LIVE IN ORANGE COUNTY I CAN'T HELP WHO I MEET HERE.

Funny thing is, T and I are completely backwards. She thinks asian guys are bleh. And actually, so does my coworker, who is Korean. She can't stand asian guys. She married a white dude, hahahahaha! She told me all about her mom losing her shit over it-- and to this day still jokes to her that it's not too late to get divorced.

Love conquers culture? I guess? 

But T loves hispanic dudes. and I think hispanic dudes are bleh. 

.... i don't think I'll ever seriously be w/ an asian dude. unless he's like... super super super super super SUPER americanized and likes pokemon, cosplay, anime and gaming

well, dear reader, I'm here to tell you that, yes lol. Some of that is true.

however, there are several problems that arise when it comes to that stuff, aside from my not really wanting a thingie right now. 

1.) i don't look approachable

2.) they don't approach girls much

3.) i don't look approachable

5.) they all have girlfriends. all of them. every single one of them. even if they don't, they still do. if it's not the girlfriend, it's the sister. if it's not the sister, it's the mom. if it's not the mom, it's the possessive chick friend who will judge the shit out of you. see? they all have girlfriends

6.) i don't look approachable

7.) they don't approach girls much

8.) i look weird, so i can't approach them

9.) if i approach them, they run away like scared gazelles. their whole group of friends... run away. like gazelles. into the savanna

just kidding. 

i can approach them if they look weird too, but generally that's really rare.

i felt I had to mention this because i get so much shit! lol i love my asian friends, but they love trolling me. i'm sure if I asked them, they could come up w/ a hilarious list, sans any consideration for embarrassing me, as to why seriously seeing an asian dude won't work (for me).

besides, there's only one guy i'd even consider anything serious w/, and that's not gonna happen. so. NOPE! :D (I've written about him, but very vaguely-- i haven't gone into much detail about him.)

I've been on an Andersen kick lately, wanting to go back and read all the old fairytales. And he got me this beautiful book

It's so thoughtful. I love it so much

And after ramen, he ordered the green tea cheesecake for me, without even asking lol.
Matcha anything is nommy, and this cheesecake is no exception. But then he pulls out one of those sparkly candles, puts it in the cake and lights it and omgggggg i love him so much!!!

He's a bratt and he's snobby but I love my scorpio. He's so empathetic and kind and loving once you get to see beyond his stoic exterior,

And tonight I finally finished my Gastly plushie!

I've never made a plushie so I didn't know wtf I was doing.

I had to make a pattern for the damn ball shape.

Never expected a stupid ball pillow would be so much work, but yeah.
I traced that thing on the fold, cut it out, and when I unfolded it, it'd be this long, doubled size of it, right? I needed 8.
Then I'd sew (or glue in this case because I didn't feel like hauling out my machine) one edge together, so there'd be 4 pairs. with an open side, and one glued shut.

Then, I'd glue all those sides together, and leave an opening

Turn it inside out and stuff it

It made a ball.

Then the gaseous part, or whatever that is.

I ended up cutting the fabric into sheets and randomly layered them all over the body

It seemed to work fine. And finally I cut out the shape of the eyes and mouth out of felt;

 

and voila!

I now have my very own Gastly plushie!
I love him so much, he's so cute. And he's pretty big too. He's a lot bigger than I thought he was going to come out. Which is fine, I can use him as a real pillow.

I'd love to make another plushie of some sort, but I'm so bad at geometry. That pattern and sewing those pieces together so they'd make a ball shape took me a bit, lol. My brain couldn't register how it'd all fit together, and it only made me feel stupid. Clearly I figured it out eventually but.... idk. 

I'm really happy with him though. He's da best snuggle buddy! 

Also, where oh where did that Espeon hat come from?

WELL. You'll just have to wait for that. because I have work at 4 am and it's midnight lol
