Pre-con things

Guys I am... still recovering from this weekend.
Anime Expo was this last weekend and oh man.
BUT, I'M NOT GONNA WRITE ABOUT THAT JUST YET.

No, because I was with my T, and I was going through some shit again, and if it hadn't been for her, I would've probably just ended up playing Guild Wars 2 or something that day.
And no one wants that...

We met up at work and went to this sushi place after much indecisiveness.
Thanks again, Yelp. You are most helpful.

I had to get a picture of this because it's not just the menu. It's.. the names of the rolls on the top row.
THIS WAS NO MERE COINCIDENCE.
THIS WAS MEANT TO HAPPEN.

Translation: there's a guy. his name's Jose. and I'm T's friend, who is a beaner. "amiga" in spanish is friend. there ya go. boom.

at the time, it was pretty funny. (she likes the trigueƱitos)

 Farewell, delicious sushi goodness.
This was the last time I'd have sushi for a while.
The con has depleted my bank account.

 ALRIGHT, SO.
If you've kept up, you'd understand that I am obsessed with garlic chili edamame and bought some and am making it at home now like, all the time.

This place had some, but... bruh.

bruh.
I was so excited to try it.

BRUH.
THEY DIDN'T USE SESAME SEED OIL, AND IT NEEDED SALT, AND MORE CHILI.
it was BLAND, HOMIE.
I was surprised.
But still ate it all, lol

Tiana ordered this philly roll and disliked it.
It's this thing she does-- she's really good at it. She'll suggest something, and it's generally 90% just really bad. I'm proud of her.

Everything else was pretty good though.
But we needed dessert, so.

TO DOWNTOWN FULLERTON!
We wandered around for a little while until we stumbled upon this place.
T suggested it! A part of me was like, alright cool lets get disappointed! But as soon as we walked in, I began to question T's unique ability.

Awww, she's so pwitty

 This place was amazing

They prepare the ice cream from scratch right in front of you.
I was all kinds of happy watching him make this for me.

 Like, really happy.

 He was really sweet.
HAH

When I've recovered from my financial diarrhea, I will be returning there.

Once finished there, we walked around DTF some more, just to pass the time.

 Got boba, you know.

But since we were both off tomorrow, and didn't wanna end the evening yet, I suggested we go somewhere I really like and wanted her to see.
It's far, but I told her that it's beautiful, and so she drove us all the way there.

Once we got there, she could see why I love this place so much.

We spent a good hour there, just taking everything in.
It was quiet, and the night was cool and crisp. Usually, the sky was clear, but that night there were so many clouds and it was still early so the stars were not very visible.
Either way, she loved it.
I wanna go back there soon.

So then a few days later, or maybe even the next day? I can't remember honestly, but it was shortly after that, she calls me and is like... wanna go to Dinhy from the airport?!
AND I WAS LIKE YA

He was in some other state or whatever with his boyfriend trying to find Bella and Edward

 They're so cute

If this is the face you're making right now, then I did my job.

It only took like 2 hours to get back from LAX because it was right in the middle of rush hour.
but Dinhy suggested this one place w/ hawaii food

it was a lot like.. japanese food....
lol.
the portions were MASSIVE.
food was good too

Oh god, look at my bangs. They're so long.
I always do this, every summer. I try to grow them out, but they end up looking so bad, and I get impatient, and then I just end up cutting them. And, I'm not gonna lie... I'm at that cutting point right now. I HATE them like this. But a few years ago, I was able to get through growing them out, and they looked good when they got to that point. but now... it's driving me crazy. I wanna cut them. I don't know if I'll be able to last lol

And after that, everyone went their separate ways.
I had to go home and prep for the weekend ahead.
This actually didn't happen at all, like whatsoever. Instead, I just watched Netflix and played WoW, and went to work, and then packed the same morning I had to drive up to LA.
Because I am a procrastinating MACHINE.
Stress is a good motivator for me, what can I say? I get shit done better under pressure.

Now that I'm home again... reality sets back in and it's back to the butthole that is life.
Just kidding. I'm trying to make the best of stuff. Very guilt-ridden, but ugh. What can one do?
I bought my mom some books off of Amazon to keep her busy while things get figured out. Like, good ones.
She's gonna read Game of Thrones and is gonna be all caught up w/ everyone and even further ahead than ALL YA'LL.
I also got her the Diary of Anne Frank, The Lord of the Rings, and Beyond Good and Evil. Should keep her mind busy for a while.
I miss her.

this was my line-up thingie I made last minute.

Anime Expo was 5 days this year. I didn't realize this until the very last minute. It goes from Thursday until Monday. I always knew Thursday was a thing, but had no clue Monday was the last day, so I didn't prepare to stay that long. Either way, I don't think I could've lasted.
By the end of Sunday night (was very late) I was... stupidly.. past the point of being awake anymore and just done-for. Driving home was a struggle. I was yelling at myself in the car to stay awake.

Also, I'm sick! I feel a lot better now than before. Sunday and Monday were the worst of it, I think.
but yeah...
Phew.
Well worth it :)

AND

since I've been away from my computer for so long, I woke up to this sweet little surprise from Kitty ^_^

Thank you, lady!!!
I've not yet started playing, but I will later today.

OKAY.
I'm gonna go study some more Korean and try not to nap.

Also... Next cosplay is gonna be a cute. Just wait.
