    Mochi isn't always an asshole. Most of the time she is though. But when she's not, she's really affectionate.

It just sucks when she wakes me up by pawing at my face and eyeballs.

So, omg.

My Overwatch bestie and i met up finally.

FUNNY STORY;

so like, for a while, there was this Genji skin available that players could get by playing 15 games of Heroes of the Storm. So I queued up with an RL friend and Snaffu ended up in our group. And like, we just kept playing, and kept playing. And kept playing. 

And kept playing.

Turns out he lives in OC!

So we got foods like last week or something. 

He likes "American" food. I appreciate his passion for Cane's chicken. It's definitely not a passion we share, but... I appreciate it. lol

We looked funny together because he's 6'5 and I'm ... not. 

HE'S RL REINHARDT. He could be if he wanted to be, I'm sure of it. 

We play too much. 

I don't know why that just made me think of school, but... soon my free time will reduce by like 78% and I'll have a sad. 

BUT NOT REALLY BECAUSE I'M FORCING MYSELF TO WORK ON A THING AND IT'LL MAKE ME HAVE A HAPPI :D

Speaking of having a happi; a few days ago I came home from work to a box in the mail.

Literally me:

It was a cardboard box, but then I saw the return address. And it was a package from Miss Bonekitty!!! 
   She kept hinting that she was sending me something, but I wasn't expecting a BOX of stuff. She's one of the coolest chicks I've met. I mean, we haven't met in person, but over the last few years, I've grown fond of her regardless of how far away we are. I'm really hoping that we can one day meet and be asses together at a k-pop concert.

There's an anime of it, but the manga is more in depth and has a creepier vibe, I think. Even though the anime is pretty creepy itself.
I always hoped to run into a Count cosplayer. I'd die.

Or just any of the other pets. They're so badass and beautiful at the same time. Ugh.

Like, I used to think it was stupid that my locks had the little bumpy loopies and had a few that forked out.

My hair is naturally super wavy, which manifested in the texture of my locks. And for some reason, idk I just thought it made them look sloppy? Or unkempt. 

But Mpact makes me feel like my hair is purdy. He goes on and on about how the locks look and how beautiful and unique they are and how he hasn't seen locks that forked out like mine do and and and and

I get compliments on my hair often which is a great feeling, but when it comes from someone who knows his shit and is on your level, it's different. it's validating.

but it's fine we got dessert first because it was an hour wait, and there was this ice cream spot next door that just opened ^_^

 So, we headed back to Daikokuya and got seated immediately because we missed our call. I felt like an asshole about that =\ but they were really nice about it.

like, the one in Little Tokyo just is... amazing. But for some reason, this one seemed kinda different? Or not like I remembered it. Either way, we left satisfied.

I made him watch HER. The movie with Joaquin Phoenix and Scarlett Johansson because it's so cute and sad at the same time and omg. And then kept meaning to leave so we could play Overwatch but instead just watched Overwatch parody videos by Lethal Soul for like forever.
I didn't get home until the next morning because I didn't have work. And when I don't have work, I tend to stay up all night. It's bad.

Woke up to Mochi today smacking me in the face.
Went out and got stuff for my next cosplay.

I FOUND HUGE EVA FOAM MATS FOR CHEAP AT ROSS'S. Almost went somewhere else for it. NAO I KNOW A THING. That knocked an extra trip off .

And then I went to this family owned fabric shop that was the next best thing to DTLA fabric district.

See, I'm lazy. Driving anywhere during the day is exhausting to me.
There are people, and traffic, and the sun is out, and there's noise and just... ugh.
I kept telling myself the fabric district would be my best bet but when I woke up this morning, that wasn't gonna happen. Not even a little bit. Not ever.

 This place was amazing.
It was way cheaper than Joann's, which I almost went to but got lazy and looked up somewhere closer.
Tadaaa! It worked in my favor. And the girl was so helpful at the counter. She measured me for the trim I had to get. Because it goes all over the costume, it was hard to guesstimate and she was more than happy to assist. I'm honestly stoked for this. I've been wanting to do this for a little while now, but it's a big project for me because I suck ass and have no talent when it comes to this shit.
But I mean, I can do it. It's just getting started that sucks. And I'll have to make a prop and some armor. And install LEDs.
But it'll be worth it.

The goal is Wondercon. Gives me plenty of time, so I won't be stressing over it like I was with my last project. ^_^

This is one of the fabrics I got.
Unfortunately, it wasn't in the color I needed.

But now it is.
The paper bats Miss Bonekitty sent me will be useful guides for a template needed on this part of the costume. Then, it'll be just right ^_^

I could've easily just gone for plain red, but details matter!
