Annual Foods Pt. < 3

LAST ONE.

Oh man.

So... said terrible thing happened, right? Ponies is like, hay... lets go to Bats (basically) and I was like... okay. I can't say no to him =\

This was on Friday-- we're all caught up! Phew!
It was good for me because being in my head for too long about shit makes me stress like crazy. Not that monumental shit like this happens all the time, but I just... I needed out.

So I put on my tough girl face and my best Pokemon shirt and got ready. We were gonna go get dinner before heading over to the Que Sera.

He came to get me and we headed to veggie grill.

Every time I go there I get the portabello burger. it's sooo good! and i also love mushrooms :P
Note, I got him smiling again. Usually he's more like the photo on the right, lol.

We picked up Sindy and headed over to the Que Sera.

I saw Jess. She hugged me big hugs. It was so good to see her.

 Thank you, hunny. Thank you.

 And Krieg. Everyone.

Since I've been out of the loop and not paying attention much to shows, I didn't know that Kommunity Fk was playing that night x___x

It was pretty fucking dope seeing them.
Like, they still look amazing
and sound amazing

I loved it. They were awesome.

We had to leave early. Ponies was sleepy, so we split and got food, lol.

While there, I bought a rosary, and a bracelette with saints on it.
You see, while I'm not a religious person, I want to keep my grandma and continue to hope for the best for my mommy, so when I saw that rosary, I had to buy it. It looks exactly like the one my grandma had. She would sit with me every night and teach me prayers to say before bed.
And my mom believes. So. For my mommy and my grandma, I will carry these on my person as often as I can without jeopardizing their integrity.

On Saturday...
I met up with ... lets call him "Hoonie" ^_^

It's so weird how people find each other these days.
I had to reactivate my facebook in order to get in touch with family, but something else came of it too. So I don't hate it as much as I used to. I guess.

We went to get food, lol.
He doesn't live far, so I drove up to meet him at his place and he drove us from there to Foo Foo Tei.
He suggested it... and from the looks of it the place is awesome. It was packed when we got there.

But once we were finally seated, the photos started.
He doesn't know.
I mean, now he does.
but he didn't then.
he was probably like, why the fuck are you taking so many photos?

It's what I do.
You hang out with me, and you're immortalized through photos. That's how it works.
:D

he's like, a chopstick holder origami wizard or some shit

aww.

The place is ramen fusion.
While I appreciate introducing different profiles of flavor into dishes, I prefer traditional.
But, it was good. Especially the squid ^_^
The servings were also really generous.
We couldn't finish!

I must have "lets get boba after eating ramen" tattooed on my face.
because he knew, lol
so we went to get boba right after.

And then we went to go see The Jungle Book!
OKAY.
It was cheesy, but I still enjoyed it.
My only weird thing, is Christopher Walkin going "ooh ooh oooh" so much. That was weird, and awkward. But other than that... it was cute.

 aww.

After the movie, we didn't wanna go home yet. So we went to the Brea mall and walked around for a while.

 And then got dinner :P

 awww

We went to this sushi place, where his best friend works. ^_^

 LOOK AT THIS WITCHCRAFT

 WHAT IS THAT
A FUCKING PEACOCK
WHO DOES THAT?
HOW
OUT OF CHOPSTICK WRAPPERS
THE FUCK

But everything was really yummy. We took some leftovers with us.

Since it was getting kinda late, and still didn't wanna go home... he brought us to Round 1 arcade and bowling.

 Saturday was so much fun.

I'd be lying if I said Hoonie doesn't intrigue me. He seems like someone, from what I've picked up on, with a kind soul and good heart. I say this because I'm not stupid... and I'm not oblivious to reactions or stares we got, from being in the areas we were, walking around together looking how we did. But he didn't care.

I'm intrigued.
You have my attention, Hoonie. What can I learn from you?

Annual Foods Pt. 2

Alright, so there are a lot of photos... lol. Wasn't kidding.

BUT WE MUST VENTURE FORTH.
UNTIL I AM UP TO DATE because my phone's memory haaaates me.
There's probably gonna be a Pt. 3. I'm just saying.

SO.
Cynthia got a Disney pass. Now what?
Well... shit. I hit up the homie Alvin (he has one too) and was like WE NEED TO GOOOOOO
and he was like YAAAAS so we went one evening.

And like, apparently the Sbux in downtown Disney got approved to be an evening store!
Which is awesome! That means they now serve alcohol and additional kinds of foods. It's also a reserve store. Reserve stores are fancy.

My old store was a reserve store.
We weren't that fancy, but we were pretty cool, I guess ;)

We got iced West Java reserve drip. He liked it.
If you're going to get reserve coffee, try the West Java or the Sulawesi.
Why?
Because just trust me. I know wtf I'm talking about.

 AAAAALLVIIIIINNNN

you guys, we are so. so. stupid.
You don't know why yet, but you will.
we are dumb dumbs.

As soon as we got there we went to the French Quarter and got our foods on.
Oh man, I eat so fucking much. lol =\

Haunted Mansion and Pirates fo shoooo

 AND I LOST MY PASS!
How? I'm assuming it fell out of my pocket.
No clue. One moment I put it in my pocket, the next moment I go to grab it, it's gone.
Which was shitty at the moment, but the next day I called them and they said it was found. They destroyed it. All i needed to do is go back and get a new one for no charge. So... no biggie. (which i still haven't done)

 Alvin's dope.
One of the first cosplay friends I made. We started attending cons around the same time and recognized each other at each one until one of us finally said "oh hey! i remember you!"
and yeah.
Cons are dope like that.

Best ride on those 56234521341 trillion acres of land.

there were a bunch of boba fett wide rimmed hats...

siemens will never not be funny

 it's meeeeeee!!!

oh man those dolls were so ugly lmao
he kept snapchatting them

Best Disney character ever, imo ;)
Him and Ortensia both!
If someone is willing to cosplay them with me, I'm totally down. Just saying.
Fuck Mickey and Minnie. Oz and Orti were OGs.

I left Disney with these goodies ^_^

Love me some whole leaf tea!

D A Y S  O F  T H E  D E A D
was the following weekend.
I've never been, but promised a friend I'd go. And so I did

 Hey Travis!
I met him at Pasadena Comic Con. He's the dude w/ the Leechwoman tattoo :D
Thanks to him, I was able to attend the con. He told me not to buy a ticket moments before I was about to buy one, haha.
I owe him.
He acquired the coolest thing for me, and surprised me.
Thank you so much, homie!

Days of the Dead is very similar to Monsterpalooza, except it's more artists than commercial booths.
Which I absolutely prefer, lol.
There were also many cool guests. I missed out because I couldn't go on Saturday (the day the biggest names were there) but I at least got to go period. So for that, I am grateful.

The most awesome soap I've ever seen in my life

LOL. I strolled by this booth with prints and liked the guys art, so began browsing his book.
As soon as I saw this, I took out my camera, and I guess his booth neighbor told him I was photographing his art. I smiled at him and said, that's really cute! You know him personally? The ONLY thing he said to me while I did this was "no, not really but I got his permission" and all I could do was smile. In my head I was thinking i fucking dare you to tell me to not photograph this cosplayer whose image you are using

lol psh.

Fairuza Balk was setting up her booth.
I was with my friend Sean, and he basically knows or has met everyone on the planet.
She recognized him and they chatted for a bit. He introduced me to her, as the line grew longer and longer behind us. She looks awesome. And she was very nice.

The Full Moon booth was there!
Unfortunately, Charles Band was not.

Fortunately, I was there as Leechwoman! ^_^
They remembered me, lol.

 We match!

Travis got this print for me aaaaannnnd I
my shits were lost
It's kind of a long story, but he got to hang out with Tim Bradstreet, who is the artist behind a lot of Hellraiser graphic novels (if not all of them) and got this print signed for me.
So dope. Thank you so much for this!

butthole.

Phil LaMarr loved my cosplay ^_^

Afterward, since I was in Burbank already, I decided to reach out to my special bestie.
We met up for drinks at Champs Bar and Grill.

I was still in cosplay, lol

You're not allowed to see his face, but I promise he has one.

After a few beers, I was on my way home.

Loot acquired. 3 prints provided by Travis. Again, thank you so much for these.

The next day, even though I had work, I still drove up as fast as I could and got there with an hour left lol.
This proved to be worth it because Sean and I met up again, and we ended up chatting with the twins from The Shining. Lisa and Louise, and they were so cool to talk to. They've got spunk, lol. No sugarcoating jack shit for anyone, lol. I love them.  And they love my nails, haha

As they were leaving, Sean jumps in and asks for a picture. I didn't want to impose, so I waited for him to be finished. Then Lisa asks me if I also wanted a picture as well.  I couldn't say no :)

I arrived to a mostly barren show floor, but it was cool.

Sean and I went to go get food after.

He proceeded to mortify me and told one of the waitresses I thought someone there was cute.
I'd kill him

Good times in Burbank.

After dinner, we stopped by my old store. It was good to see my old coworkers again.
I usually try to stop by there when I'm in town to say hi, if it isn't too late.

And it's also nice when Burbank comes to visit me, too!

I've also been crafting again.
Since I moved and lost my crafting station due to spacing, the motivation has been hit a little bit. But it came back :P

This will be a prop for Anime Expo. I still have to make Brock.

You guys know Ponies, right?
If you don't, he's one of my best friends.
He's a catty bitch. He's allowed to be, because he's very smart. Everything that comes out of his face is usually snarky and equally funny.

I try to get him to laugh so I can sneak pictures.
He hates that shit.
We went to get vegan Vietnamese.
It was dope. And also right down the street from me.
It's kind of awesome that he's no longer an hour away.

 Ghost Pokemon are muh life

Aaaand sort of recently, at like 3 am, homie and I couldn't sleep. So we went to this 24 hour donut place in Korea town on a whim, LOL.

The guy there was angry, according to Dippy. He was there before me and we were under the impression that this place was this cute little shop with cute donuts and stuff, like yelp said.
Nope, lol. Dippy got us donuts, and we sat on the sidewalk for an hour.

 Gorgeous view, lmao.
neither of us slept that night. He had some stuff to prepare for that morning, and as soon as i arrived in anaheim, i drove to my work and got something to drink.
GOOD TALK

oh look.
Cynthia's eating more food with people.
He's my coworker. So apparently there's this amazing like... mexican/japanese place like 10 minutes away called crazy grill. and they serve both mexican and japanese food.
and mind blown.
so far, the places he's shown me have been dope.

see, this is what friends are for.

food.

So, my other coworker and I went to get food too, lol.

 Isn't she purdy? ^^
She doesn't think so. I beg to differ.

 yeah, we got ramen.
A little birdie told me that this place isn't legit because it's Korean, not Japanese. lol
but you know what?
it's edible, so.

And then she was like, I REALLY WANNA GET MY NOSE PIERCED SOMEDAY
and I was like THAT'S A GREAT IDEA, LETS GO RIGHT NOW.
and she was like r u srs?

See, I encourage people to follow their dreams.

and because I'm so supportive, I got my tragus pierced.
I've always wanted it done, but was just a little bitch about it because it's such a thick layer of cartilage.
BOY WAS IT CRUNCHY.
Two pushes. Two, crunchy pushes, it took. to drive that bevel through.
but... i like it.
it probably would've sucked less if I hadn't asked her to pierce it w/ a 14g instead of 18g but fuck it.

OKAY. REMEMBER WHEN i said... Alvin and I are stupid?

Okay, look.

He last minute was like WANNA GO SEE CHVRCHES THEY'RE LIKE, IRISH AND SYNTH-Y.
and I was like HELL YEAH

but first, food.

So we go to this Vietnamese place, right.

We order.
nothing unusual

okay. look at our food.
on his plate... do you see, at the very top of it, a tiny, orange cylindrical shaped thingie? Kinda looks like a baby carrot?

it's a thai chili pepper. and we're stupid, because we ate it.
i'm 97% sure everyone in the restaurant thought we were high. it hurt SO much that we were crying, and laughing in agony. our faces were red, and tears were running down our cheeks. it was awful. i don't know why we did that, lol. we cut it in half and each ate a piece.
never.
never again.

Over half an hour later, we could still feel that shit in our sinuses and our throats.
Don't eat thai chili peppers, guys. don't do it.

The show was fun! I'd never heard anything like them, but that's probably because I'm shitty with music and don't explore much? lol. But the show was fun, and even though it's not a genre I usually listen to, i did find quite a few of the songs to be really catchy.

Thank you Alvin for inviting me! It was painful and fun at the same time. And I'm sorry. next time i want us to eat something bright colored, hit me with a chair and say "get out."

And then... my coworker and I went to get food again
 He's so sick.
Like, literally. He's sick. I felt bad. My other friend basically flaked and I was ready to go somewhere and get food-- i hadn't eaten all afternoon because we were supposed to go eat somewhere, and then at the last minute i hit him up and he was down.

And then I invited my other coworkers to have Poke.
Some horrible shit went down with my family, and I was a wreck.
Poke and these two cynical sallies helped a lot that day.

I went in to work a complete mess. They were so good to me.

And in my complete mess... I went to Burbank to meet up with special bestie to keep me level headed. It helps that we have a lot of the same thought processes and ideas. We pick up on things similarly.

He also got really drunk, and oh my goodness... lol..
i was so glad he was staying at the hotel lmao

thank you ******, for being there and for guiding me through stuff with your knowledge of thingies.

This entry got long, too. lol

PART 3 INCOMING.

told ya. lots of pictures xD
