Code Word: Ramen

    Okay guys, look.

It's not my fault that ramen exists and I have to eat it when someone gets in touch with me. It's not. At this point, it's pretty safe to say that throwing "ramen" in to a conversation with the intent of beckoning is almost guaranteeing that I'll leave my room.

a l m o s t

almost.

almost.

And I am so sorry, because I'm painfully broke.
Remember when I wrote about my car's power steering eating shit? Well, if you didn't read about that... it totally happened, and it totally sucked.
And I'm totally still feeling the cut from that. Was an expense I was absolutely not prepared for, lol.

BUT YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY:

"wanna get ramen?"

suddenly I'm not home anymore and my pants feel tighter and i'm happy and who are you is this my skin WHERE DID MY ROOM GO

nah.
actually...
remember how I said in my last entry that I forgot an important document at my old store in Burbank that I technically cannot work without?
Well. I did.
My friend generously stopped by there for me and picked it up! He was in the area and coming home (he lives down here too. him and his friend both do, who I also know) and grabbed it to give to me.
Incredibly sweet of him!
I didn't wanna bother special bestie again, especially since he lives no where near the OC, and this seemed like the best option, lol. Also like, he told me to get in touch with him once I'm down here, so... boom.

And he totally used the code word on me.
To be completely honest, after I got out of work I was just gonna pick it up from him quick and go to Little Tokyo to get ramen by myself. I felt bad when he asked me if I wanted to get lunch w/ him and his buddy, lol. Ramen, to be specific. We hadn't really made any plans for that day other than after a certain time, I was gonna get the thing from him and that's it.

BUT, YOU KNOW.
SO.

I have so many questions for myself
like
if I'm so broke, why would I be going to Little Tokyo?
That's like, gas money, parking, ramen, boba, another manga volume, maybe 2, then more gas money to get home.

Well.
Because I'm a stupid shithead.
And Little Tokyo is special. ok?
my happiness shouldn't have to be sacrificed because my power steering hose was drunk. i'm just sayin

shutting up.

He, lets call him Chu, said to meet him at a spot close to his place and he'd drive us to the ramen place. I got there and was expecting, lets call him Oso to be with him, but he's too cool for cars and was gonna meet us there on his bike. Mr cool guy. JEEZ.

Note: Chu and Oso are the cutest gal pals and they love it when I tell them how cute they look together.
Especially Chu.

The place was called Shin-Sen-Gumi. Apparently there's one in Little Tokyo (I've never been) but Oso said LT was too far, so we just came to this one.

It was cute inside. Very modest

The girls were adorable.
I feel like they were Oso and Chu's favorite part about this place, lol.

LOOK HOW CUTE THEY ARE

Oso doesn't mind getting his picture taken, clearly. He was a great subject.

Chu hates everything ever.
"Bipper."

nom

Observe: Oso being cool
and Chu hating everything

V E R D I C T :   It was meh. The broth was blander than what I'm used to. The pork stuff on the side there was pretty good. It was smothered in garlic ;) and some other sauce stuff. Good though.
But the ramen itself wasn't the best.

Apparently, according to Chu, the one in Little Tokyo is better. He agreed that it wasn't the best.
PS; they love ramen as much as I do, I think. Or at least, are open to stuffing their faces with ramen as much as I am.

So like, we finished up, and went outside to go our separate ways
When Chu was like, omg lemme ride yer bike! T__T
Oso was like, nah you'll fuck it up
and Chu was like na uh promise lemme ride yer bike! u___u
And eventually Oso was like, SIGH. ok.
So he goes to turn on the ignition...

it won't start.

TURNS OUT he left his lights on and the battery died.
The bright side... at least Chu didn't break it. :D

So we're out there trying to figure out what to do. Jump it!
No one has cables, lol. So Chu is like.. maybe if you put it in neutral and I push it and you try to start it? lol....

mhm.

....... OFF TO AUTO ZONE!
We all learned something. Oso doesn't need his lights on during the day, and bikes are heavy.
I danced around the lot idiotically being no help whatsoever and took pictures. They found it entertaining.

Oso calls AAA just in case, and put the lady on speaker.
She sounded like a really nice, middle-aged white lady that sounded like someone's aunt from Michigan. When he was trying to tell her where his bike was parked, it was hard to not laugh because she couldn't understand Shin-Sen-Gumi, no matter how he said it to her, and the description was hilariously drawn out way longer than it had to be.
I'm sorry.
It was funny.

 It was.

omg i just realized his shirt says "team lvft worldwide."
JUST googled it.
the shit-giving will be endless.
endless, i tell you

HI, OSO.
You so silly

So, he got jumper cables

And everything turned out okay.
Chu's EHNFENETEHHH rev'd up Oso's Harley (lol) and everyone was happy.
The cables now live in Chu's EHNFENETEHH's butt.
Or trunk.

And that's when it was time to go
but then Oso was like

LET'S GET BOBA
and I was like

YES

And Chu was like

................... sigh

Ramen + Boba = never no
That's exactly what I do when I go to Little Tokyo. I get ramen, and then I get boba drinks, and life is good again. I don't know if Oso is like, my spirit animal or what, but he gets me. He gets me. We shared great stories to each other while Chu almost puked on into his bowl-- it was a precious bonding moment.

Off to boba goodness, we went.

The place we went to is called Bambu. Cutest little spot. They offer all kinds of drinks:
Smoothies, iced coffees, iced teas, blends of different shit, it was awesome. Huge variety.

And they played old Disney cartoons ^_^

They went with boobie Vietnamese iced coffee, I got a taro milk tea with booooobbiiieess.
They learned who Armin Meiwes is :D
"Bipper"

Then it was time to go for realsies because Chu had a family thing.

BUT NOT BEFORE JUMP STARTING OSO'S BIKE AGAAAAAIIIN :D

Chu's about to flip some tables and rage quit their friendship looooololol
we totally knew he would have to jump it again. he just didn't want to xD

buhbyyyee Osooooooo
joo so silly.

From there, since it was like middle of rush hour, it took us forever to get back, but thankfully he played iKON in the car and everything in the world was good again.
Also like, in "My Type," it's totally B.I. that says "GARL YANNO THAT I LAV YA," not Bobby!
We argued about this. It's important.

B I P P E R
oh that's an earthquake.
hullo.

Anyway, yesterday was really nice. Was not expecting to see them for a whiiiiiile. And I totally had something for them to try, but left it here by mistake. Next time.

Moving here absolutely does not suck in the slightest. lol. I'm pretty stoked to be here. In Anaheim. Idk wtf I was so hesitant about before...
no wait yes I do. I was in a relationship before, and yeah. We all know how that goes. But I'm promising myself to not put anything before school.
Annnnd also, I live in a kinda closed off complex thingie, so I can go running wheneeevver I want, all around here. Which is what I'm gonna start doing again. Running felt really good, especially at night. So that's gonna be a thing. I'll probably start tonight, just a modest 30 minutes to start. Haven't gone running in a while, I don't know if my legs are gonna be too happy about it tomorrow. Not unless I drink myself pissless.
OH. wait
No. I shouldn't do that.
Tomorrow... is gonna be a day. lol A long day.
You'll see.
I'm getting kidnapped? A teaser of what's to come, I suppose.
We'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Yesterday was cute. Hopefully next time we can actually make it out to Little Tokyo. I need to pick up some manga.
^_^
