A few days ago, Oppa hit me up for food thingies.
In Little Tokyo to be exact.
It was late, but we only get one life. And if you can't be the type of person to say yes to food in Little Tokyo at midnight, then really... what kind of person are you?
Maybe you're not even a person.
We met up at the same place we went to last time, around the same time.
Our waiter probably hated us because we kept talking instead of looking over the menu.
I sorry, waiter. We talk too much :(
Look at Oppa's pecks.
He should be a showgirl in Vegas and do the titty dance thing with pasties.
:D
I went with curry.
The craving for it lately has been a little out of control.
And it didn't help that I get people taking sexy photos of their own home made curry and sending them to me.
That's a thing. Two different people now.
WHY ARE YOU LIKE THAT
RUDE
And of course, Oppa sticks his hand in my shot.
And when he doesn't, he just throws a wrapper and chopsticks in it.
Thank you.
Oppa got this like, rice thing
that tasted very Chinese food-ish.
It's difficult to describe. He had me try it and yeah. It had that chinese food taste.
I liked it. He's had better lol
He ate it all, though. Poor guy was hungry af
Once we finished dinner, I guess, he asked me if I'd want to check out the Japanese rooftop garden.
Of course I said yes. The last time we tried seeing it this late, we were escorted off the grounds by some overzealous security dude. There was no promise that we'd see it tonight, but I was down for trying anyway.
Gardens are pretty ^_^
We made our way towards the back entrance through Weller Court, only to find the entrance there locked.
He wasn't having it. So we went around the other way and went into the hotel.
This is where we were stopped last time.
So far so good. We walked up the stairs and made it to the elevator without anyone saying anything. There was some silent auction thing going on. He recalls the elevators not working last time we tried it. And I think he's right because we went past some doors that led to stairs, and hotel staff was like hey wtf u doing. gtfo
but, this time
We made it :)
He wanted to show me a view beyond those bushes and over the ledge, but
there was construction, lol.
GOOD OL' DOWNTOWN LA
I was in awe.
Seeing this at night made it an infinity times better. I'm sure it's lovely during the day but... man. Elated. Elated is a good word for that whole situation.
There's this little pond area thingy where he's seen people take reflection photos lol. in that far corner way in the back, there's a little dock. The reflection dock.
cyncha, why you gotta not show his face. you weird ass bitch
I did. He's a Gastly. Duh.
We confirmed this on two different occasions, c'mon now.
It was all so, so pretty.
And aside from the occasional passer-by, it was just the two of us with the garden all to ourselves!
We went over to the little dock and talked for hours way into the early morning, until it was time to go.
Not your typical Friday night in Downtown L.A.
It's basically like a video game kind of. More like an MMO. but instead of like, somewhere in Kalimdor, we're somewhere in the eastern hemisphere. Just chillin on a dock, over a little pond, in a Japanese garden, at 3 a.m. on a Friday.
The next day, after work, I went to this thing in Pasadena.
I was there for a whole hour and a half before deciding it was meh and left.
Gas money well spent imo.
I did run into some people though, which was cool. I'll be seeing you fuckers at Comikaze fosheeziieeeesss
And then later that evening...
Are you sick of him yet?
I'm getting there.
jk jk jk
he's aight.
Doesn't have a Disney Pass though, so.... =\
Is this not the most amazing and relevant saying you ever saw ever?
That evening, he came down to the OC and we met up in Downtown Fullerton.
The Commonwealth ^_^
Literally on Commonwealth. Because we went to Cha2o, on Commonwealth.
I've never actually dined INSIDE Cha2o. I've always only ever gone there to get a drink, and then split to go walk around, eventually to Dripp or the park to catch Pokemon. This time though, dessert was on me and Oppa wanted the shaved snow thingie. I wanted that too, so they said we'd have to sit inside for that. NP!
We wait for like 20 mins to get seated.
It's pretty inside.
Like, it's really pretty inside, lol. At least during the evening. We went there super late.
He did the straw wrapper worm thingie again.
OMG- I showed that to Ponies one time over ramen, and he just had this "r u srs" look on his face, smiling but sort of holding back a laugh because he thought it was so stupid. I told him him I'd learned it from Oppa. He just looked at me like I was an idiot. It's stupid-cute.
But it made him laugh ^_______________^
Oppa tried a different approach this time.
For science.
SO, FUNNY STORY.
Their shaved snow machine was down lol.
Carlos, our waiter, was dope. Oppa became best friends with him because he loved him so much.
And even though that kinda sucked, we just got drinks instead.
OH.
So.
I learned a thing.
I learned that Oppa hates boba.
After all this time, he tells me now. And I thought it was so sweet, because he's taken us to boba places, and never said anything-- not even when we shared ice cream and I asked for boba to be put in it. Didn't say a word. And that night, he tells me he absolutely hates tapioca pearls!
Aww... Oppa.
He got a bottled milk tea, and I went with the massive taro boba slush.
I said he should have some with me, and he could just sip up the slush off the top, while I try to eliminate the threat at the bottom.
Threat was eliminated, but there was so much of the drink we couldn't finish it.
So we left.
So, here's what happens when I try to do something cool like Oppa did for me the other night.
I love beaches at night. People know this. It's my thing.
And I wanted to take him.
Redondo was on my mind, but while I love Redondo, I'll save that for another time.
I was THINKING Huntington Beach. Without knowing the name of it.
I actually took us to Newport Beach.
Newport Beach
looks like
actual Newport cigarettes.
The pier itself was empty, dead, lifeless. With stragglers and a blue building at the end of it that looked like a slaughterhouse. Next to it were sheds that I only assumed to be where the bodies were stored, and next to that was a huge industrial looking sink with 3 compartments, which is where the butcher washed all the blood off.
There were fishermen, and an endless black sea that looked like tar.
And a buoy. Oppa was fond of the buoy.
I took us to a cigarette. I'M SURE HE WAS IMPRESSED.
When we got there, I was thinking how much it didn't look like Huntington, but I couldn't remember the fucking name of the beach so for some reason I thought it was Newport. Well, it was more like I got them mixed up. Do you understand how many beaches are down here?! IT'S HARD TO KEEP TRACK, OKAY. lol
Partially mortified, I dragged us out of there and drove us to Huntington Beach.
We parked, walked across the street, only to find that the pier was closed.
THE PIER CLOSES AT 10PM.
Everything was against me.
I was thinking we should've just gone to Redondo. Redondo never let me down. Redondo always says open. REDONDO WOULDN'T DO THIS TO ME.
But it was so late, and Redondo was so far. And I felt like such a stupid shit. His sense of humor throughout all this is what kept me from ragequitting and just going home.
But it couldn't end like this. lol.
So, when everything else failed, we went back to tradition. Fool proof tradition. Of Car.
Good ol Car. And were there until almost sunrise. Long night was long, and we needed sleep, so I drove us back to Downtown Fullerton as the sun was rising, and dropped him off. I should've been the person to say text me when you get home safe, because we were both sleepy, but as soon as I got home I was gone. There is confirmation that he did make it home safe. I saw it on social media. So that's good.
I slept in until 2 that day.
AND THEN
BAE (Seoul Street, for those of you who don't know) went on twitter and was like TODAY'S THE LAST DAY OF L.A. KOREAN FESTIVAL
and I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
because lately I've been like
I think we're getting serious, you guys.
but then...
Fuck.
I don't wanna go by myself T_T
So.... I text T just in case. Whatever. Maybe she's off or wants to go later? If she's not tired? Damnit u___u
GREEN LIGHT. SHE'S FREE
LETS GO.
We head back to work to meet up and grab some cofffee.
Our co-worker spots us outside.
It was ridiculous how hot it was. Look at the sun behind him! was BLARING on EVERYONE.
Ridic.
We get our iced coffees and split for Koreatown.
On the website, it tells us where we can park and get it validated later. We do that, and it's like, a 12 minute walk to the actual park.
Once we made it, I started calling out bae like a sad cat mommy looking for her babies.
BAE WHERE ARE YOU
Of course, we went in every direction there is to go except for the one where bae is.
WE FOUND YOU HUNNY!!!!
These are my two favorites from here.
I already had the squid fries at the Japan event 2 weeks prior, and had the kimchi fries at 626, so this time I got a burrito :P
ANNYEONG BAEBIES!!!!!
Angie was there too, but she was too camera shy, haha.
And he's the one who runs the social media accounts! They immediately knew it was me when I got there
WAAAHHHH I WUB DEM SO MUUUCCH
Nom.
And T got bibimbap. Also very nom.
T noted that they weren't as exuberant with their greeting towards her as they were with me when I pointed her out to them.
See, the thing is, I KNOW for a fact that they remember her. Because she's with me every time I go to see them, except for that Japan event. I was alone then. and 626. But we've visited them every other time since... Also, I call them BAE. lol
I'm a little bit crazy towards them and told them how awesome they are and how much I support them, so I feel like there's ... a different circumstance situation going on, lol. Don't worry T, I'm sure they remember you!
my burrito was dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooope af
We sat down in the ... one area which looked comfy-ish, and just kicked it there, watching the show on the monitor and people watched.
There was some beauty pageant thing going on, plus some performers. All demonstrating traditional Korean thingies. It was pretty cool.
Once we finished our foods, we got thirsty, so we went back to bae for drankies.
I don't know why we didn't go to bae for drankies all the other times.
T got the taro milk drink, and WOW.
I've had.... many a taro situations, but their taro drink tasted really really creamy. It was different!
It didn't taste like the other taro drinks I've tasted. It was REALLY good!
Yo.... Seoul Street is legit aigo af.
AND.
Angie bought my lemonade.
YOU'RE ALL SO CUTE
I L U SEOUL STREET
YOU SO GOOD TO MEH
Y YU DO DIS
YU DA BEST
FORILS
ILU
And T had to pee like a racehorse, and we didn't know where the bathrooms were. So they directed us where the portopotties were, but Angie was like... the tan one.
Go to the tan one in the middle. It's so clean!
SHE WAS NOT WRONG.
It was probably the nicest porto-potty I've ever used.
It smelled amazing, it had seat covers, hand sanitizer, a shelf to put your things on, plus a hangar behind the door, and it even had a urinal. 10/10 would piss in there again. THANKS ANGIE!
This was so important because T hates porto-potties. I think everyone does, actually.
We were kinda full, so we just walked around a bit, then hang out by the grassy seating area and watched the show.
Then at the end of the night towards closing time, T really wanted street corn. So I got her street corn.
I got street corn too. I've never had it this way. With all the fixins on it and everything. It was really good. I would absolutely street corn my face up again.
We finished our corn and headed home.
Dope weekend was dope.
And to top it off, I got a 100% on my math exam. The grade was posted online, but I thought it was a bug or he hadn't entered in the grades and that was just a default, LOL.
Nope, got my exam back on Monday and ... 100%.
I'm good rn.
Broke again, because rent is coming up and I need to chill with food. But, I'm good.
Hope you guys are good too.
Now to finish homework and a practice exam all due by tonight u__u
