Battery

   Sup dicks.

So like, earlier today my friend Ashley was like, write another blog!

See?

So now, I have to finish it today. Because of Ashley. WAY TO GO, ASHLEY. You all have her to thank. I could be napping right now. You guise know what time I woke up today? Yeah ya don't. So.

MYAH!!

For starters... Fett and myself have been making it a thing to go running a few times a week at night.
It's been one of the most relaxing things I've done in a while. Night runs take the cake over afternoon runs, imho. The air is much cooler, it's quieter, there are less people, and the street lights illuminating the roads and trees makes it all so scenic and serene.

Initially, it was a bit of a struggle. Fett hadn't been 'active' in a while, so just like I did, he was struggling to keep his breath the first 2-3 runs. Now we can get through our run much quicker with less down time at each light. It feels great. Currently we'll run the 4 strips, and walk them back to the car. We've reached the point where we can run them to the end, and one strip in return, and walk the remaining 3 back. I'm excited to get to the point where we can run them completely without walking! I know we can do it!
The only negative part is my work schedule.
I'm going to be mostly working super early shifts, so it'll make these night runs much more difficult to do, unless we can get them timed down perfectly. He also has scheduled things at night a few nights a week, so... there's much planning involved. BUT.... it's worth it.
Running feels awesome. Even more awesome with company ^_^

Care and Blanca's housewarming party last Saturday |

They got a house!!! So of COURSE they're gonna have a thing! And naturally, I had to be there. It'd been a while since we all hung out, so.
Turns out also that Ponies was there. He hadn't mentioned going, but I'm glad he did. We were dumb and got into the pool in freezing cold water at like 10 at night. We're super smart and badass.

The pool had a cool changing light. It would go from blue to green, and then blue again. and then green. and then blue. again. Green looked cooler.

YEAH. it was cold. but we at least we can say that we got in.
Karina, a girl I met there, also got in! And then there was another girl who was kinda drunk, that also got in. We thought she was topless at first because she had a flesh colored bra, and it was super thin.
But, she wasn't.

It was really cold, you guise. I bet my dreadlocks looked cool in the water though.
Like some evil black squid or some shit.

There was plenty o' booze, as usual. lol
I tried some of her sangria, and later had a strawberry infused beer.
I had no idea this strawberry infused beer existed, and will more than likely be my drink of choice at bars now because... hello.... it's strawberry.
That or vanilla cream soda. omg.

There's Caroline, standing next to Anthony; a very inspired photographer with an awesome vision that I'm fortunate enough to be a tool for. :D

And there's Blanca, in the dress. She's one of the most animated people I know, aside from Jess.
They're hilarious lushes, lol

XD

 D'awww, they're so cute

Poonnniiieeesss

 hahaha

Karina! She was with us in the pool

 Jess ^u^
Also known as Stitches

Hiiiii Blancaaaa :D
It was an incredibly fun evening.
To top it all off, they said Fett was invited. He had gone to a music festival in San Bernadino that day, but on his way home he stopped by the house, where I got to introduce him to Care and Blanca, Jess, and most importantly Ponies. I'd been wanting him to meet more and more of my friends, as he's introduced me to a couple of his. I've even talked to Ponies about him from before we went public, so this was special.
Blanca was especially fond of him, lol in a way that lushiness could only display! haha.
When a lesbian tells you the dude is handsome, ya done good! XD

Super good times, and I'm looking forward to more!

OH. SO LIKE, MY CAR DIED ON MONDAY. THAT WAS FUN.

I drove home from work around 11 AM. This was perfect because I wanted to go to my school to talk to people about financial aid. I was stuck on the form online and couldn't figure out my tax... stuff.
So, I got home, went upstairs to shower and change. I get in my car, turn the ignition and

s i l e n c e

I'm like, 'wtf' and turn the ignition key again.

nothing.
Turn it again.
nothing. dead silent.

WHAT. THE. FUCK.

I keep turning it right, like it's gonna magically start up lol, and by this point I'm silently freaking out but also going "it figures"

I spot Lauren come down and she peeks into the garage. I think she was checking to see if I had left already or not. So, I sit in my car for like 5 minutes, silently pondering and every couple seconds trying the key again until I finally accept that my car is dead. Nothing on it works.
I went to lock my doors and the power lock wouldn't work. So I make my way back upstairs, unlock my door into my apartment and slump back inside, where Lauren comes out and looks at me asking what happened.

"my car won't start."

this was the beginning of a lovely, stressful afternoon. She started texting Geoff, while I contacted Fett, who is a bit car savvy, thankfully.
Long story short, Fett came over with jumper cables. He eventually deduced that it could be my battery, or my alternator. We let him in the garage to jump start my car, but the battery wouldn't take the charge. That was fun. There was some water works going on, not gonna lie. I burried my head in the wheel as I desperately turned the key hoping it'd rouse.

All the warning lights would come on, and the windshield wipers started to swish. And suddenly my power lock worked again, but the car would not start. It'd click once, barely twice, and shut off.
I silently lost my shit when my check engine light came on OH MY GOD I lost my shit.
No one heard it though, because I kept it in my head. but you guys... it was LOST.

So yeah, that was a failure. Good try though.

He was almost sure that it was the battery. That was good enough for me, so we went to this one car place in Burbank, but their batteries (that were just one brand) were pricier. And he suggested we stop by Autozone. Once we got there, the guy that talked to us was extremely helpful! He said we could bring in my old battery and they'd test it and charge it for free. Just to be sure that it was indeed the battery because buying a new one and installing it would mean no refund, and if it wasn't the battery I'd be fucked out of  $120.

So, we came back here.

He had me get the tool kit he "gave" me (that only comes out when he works on something here, lol) and he removed the battery from the case.
It was old and gross and rusted. So chances are he was right.
Lauren suggested the battery being dead too.
So did Geoff.
Everyone thought it was the fucking battery

Sorry, I'm just handing out credit to whoever at this point. There ya go.

So we went back to Autozone, where they tested it. Dude there said the tester thing wouldn't even pick up the battery. Like, it wasn't detecting it; meaning it was a dead battery.
HOO LAWD. THANK GOODNAZ.

I was totally okay with dishing out $120 for a new battery. I was NOT okay with $400-$500 for a new alternator X___X. So, in the end things turned out okay, and probably for the better. My car is now in better condition because of it, and I also could've totally been stranded on my way to Cypress instead of just my garage, so... that's the bright side. It would've been kind of impossible to fix that situation; for I don't have AAA and honestly wouldn't know wtf to do at that point.

 Yay new battery!
Also, thanks to Ponies and Josh for calling me to see if they could help with anything. I really appreciated it. You've both always looking out for me, and it's always noted. So thank you again.

I leave this entry here.
After work today Vons was a thing because today is Friday and Vons has $5 Fridays and and and and I went grocery shopping and this chocolate pudding is delicious. O_O

It's extra yay to me how my feet don't touch the ground when Fett sits me on his lap ^_^ hee

I should wear my hair down more often. It feels less crappy and my scalp isn't as sore.

Arrr

   Pirates. Arrrrrr....

I wonder what pirates were/are really like. Like, do they still have cannons and stuff on their ships? I know they're definitely real; especially in like... those south eastern seas around Cambodia or some shit.

Okay, I just googled them and they don't look as cool. Nevermind.

WELL, this brings me to the other surprise that Fett threw in last week, in addition to the many surprises that Monday.

SO. Last Thursday Fett again wouldn't tell me where we were going, but gave me a hint to try to figure it out myself. It was probably the worst, most vague hint in the world, ever. My guesses were for naught. =\
The drive was long, and I grew restless.

Once we arrived to our destination, I was totally, like, OMFG. Probably multiply that by 10 a couple times, though. And for some reason, it was like I knew it the whole time, but thought it'd be too good to be true.

NOPE.

We were at Pirate Dinner Adventure!!

If you've heard of Medieval Times, it's the Pirate version. basically :P

This was a first for me, as I've never been to any kind of dinner theater thing or event. So...not only was this totally randomly amazing and awesome, but it also reminded me of one of my favorite episodes of Bob's Burgers where Linda starts her own dinner theater in the restaurant, and and and... ever since that episode, I've always wanted to attend a dinner theater. SO LIKE, OMG!! :D

Fett's been suffering through a lot of Bob's Burgers, so it was doubly awesome to quote that episode and and and... okay. You get it, I'm sure.

Well. We arrived, and the 'stage' was a massive pirate ship, as pictured above, with seating all around it. It was totes in credible. But we didn't get into the theater for a little bit. We went into the main lobby, where there was a spacious, beautifully decorated bar that kinda looked like the inside of a ship, with a mini stage behind it, two shops, and they have several hosts going around with appetizers. It was kind of amazing. I had... ALL of the appetizers you guise. JalapeƱo poppers? YES, I'LL TAKE 50 ZILLION, THANKS.

Fett got us these cups! He got soda I think and I got pineapple juice ^^
(We're boring, shhh.)

So while we sat in the lobby area, a little pre-show came on. Mr McGee (if memory serves)
introduces all the color-coded pirates that lead the audience to their assigned seating sections in the theater, as well as introduce the other characters in the show. There's a mini aerial show performed by the "gypsy", and then we're all called off to our sections.
It was cooooolll ^_^

We had the yellow Pirate, Antonio!

 Our plaaacematt.
It was neat, we got seated at the very front of the yellow section. Our row sat 4, so it was myself with Fett, joined by an elderly couple. They were super nice, and it was enjoyable for me watching their reactions to the performance. :P

We had a 3 course meal, beginning with soup!

OH YEAH. See the woman in red? That's totes my co-worker! lololol
I had no clue we were coming here, but I knew that she worked here, so seeing her sing and perform was pretty awesome. She's got some pipes! I was so proud of herrrr!!

 Beef skewer ^_^ nom nom!
Fett had the roasted chicken

More of the aerial show!

The story was that a Princess and a last descendent of a gypsy tribe were captured by pirates. And the last gypsy was the only one who knew how to calm the dragon protecting a treasure that Sebastian the Black was after. It was incredibly cute, in addition to incredibly cheesy. We both enjoyed it thoroughly. Fett even got to be part of the show and was asked to come aboard the ship!

A full body shot of Fett?!
With a rope around his neck, even.
Errr.. actually just kidding. I think there was a full body shot of him from when we went to Disney.
idk.

ANYWAY.
Our last course of our meal was a yummy chocolate brownie thing with icecream ^_^. Nom nom!
After the show, we got our picture taken with "Treasure" the pirates' wife - played by my co-worker- and Sebastian the Black.

We split shortly thereafter with full bellies and thoroughly entertained!
It was a pretty cool experience that I recommend everyone check out when they're in L.A. or in the L.A. area.

IT WAS PUR COOL, YOU GUISE. T'WAS PUR COOL.

Oh, omg. So like, a few nights after that leaving work, one of my co-workers needed a ride home, so ... me and another co-worker offered to drive him home. On our way to drop him off, we spotted a dog walking down the sidewalk. This was at around like... almost 11 at night. So of course I'm like OH GOD STOP THE CAR IT NEEDS OUR HELP, right? Like.. spastic and shit. So we pull over and I sprint over to the dog AND LIKE CHECK IT'S VITALS AND SHIT (check for a tag) and find that it had no tags on its' chain!
We look around to see if anyone else was out walking and maybe just let their dog roam around? No luck. We walked around for a little while actually, trying to figure out where the dog had come from, and they even walked up to a couple of houses and knocked on the door. Only one house answered through their intercom, saying they didn't know whose dog it was.

This was the doggie. It didn't have balls, but we also weren't gonna dig around to double check so we just guessed it was a girl.
Eventually we had to leave her somewhere because it was super late, and we didn't wanna take her to the shelter. They're not "no kill" and we didn't want that for her, in case no one came to reclaim her. So we did the next best thing and left her in a gated yard full of water bowls and flowers and plants, right next to an apartment building. Someone was bound to see her the next morning.

Oh. And I'm sure a bunch of you guise saw, but I made some more charms.

These are the Chibi versions of the fully detailed ones I sell, except they cost less and they're way more... 'cutsie' you could say. If you're into that.
I'm not sure if I'm gonna sell them yet.

But I do want to announce that I am now shipping all my items internationally, so if anyone across seas wants to order some, let me know and I'll make it happen! Only thing is unfortunately because shipping costs more to send over seas, it's the only instance where I have to charge ($3) for shipping. But hey, at least the option's there now, right?!
And it'll come directly from me to you with muy muy love! ^_^

Anyway, I'm off to see Blanca and Care at their housewarming party tonight.

I have a better camera (Galaxy S4) now so hopefully they'll come out better. And tomorrow I'll be filming another IMO for my youtube channel.

Wee, weekends! :D
Have a good night everyone!
