 Someone recently-ish expressed how reading my brain poop on here got them into something. Coolest feeling. I'm glad he can enjoy Junji Ito to his hearts' content. JUNJI ITO SLAPS. I just got back into Genshin Impact, plus impulse bought a bunch of Sims 4 stuff. Shit's hard.
Look, I seduced a ghost, ok? And my character is a vampire. I MADE THEM FORNICATE IN HER COFFIN. IT'S NOT MY FAULT IF THE DEVELOPERS PUT THOSE OPTIONS IN THERE. Like, how do you NOT choose to do that?

By the way, I know cheaters use that argument all the time in FPS games, but for the record, I don't use mods. This is base game stuff- SO I CAN ARGUE THAT WITH CONVICTION.

WELL. Lets start with ADVENTURES. Let me just preface this with... the last time I idled and fucked around in a cemetery, we ended up with a 103 fever the same night, because ... I stepped on the grass. It's a long story. 

ANYWHO, so I dragged Chicken and Chicken Jiejie to Rose Hills. Because it was a Monday.

Chicken doesn't very much like cemeteries. He feels, ultimately, that unless he is invited, he has no right or place to be on those grounds. Spiritual trespassing. That'sss... probably the most respectful thing I've ever heard in my whole life. He's a good dude.

Before we arrived, we stopped by a few food places to pick up snacks and drinks. He was off his appetite, so only Chicken Jiejie and I ate, like assholes.

FOR THE RECORD, before I started working... I wasn't one to visit cemeteries recreationally. I thought it was the tackiest shit in the world to idle in cemeteries out of vanity- worst stereotype for goths ever. And for many, it's not even a stereotype, it's like... idk. To me... do what you're gonna do, more power to you or whatever, but cemeteries aren't a place for vanity. Like, I'm kinda with Chicken in that respect, unless you've got business being there, your ego isn't welcome. Yknow? It's not about you. It's a resting place. It's sacred. With boundless memory deposits of grief and longing. And people going there to do photoshoots and shit... never sat right with me. That shit's so gross.

BUT ANYWHO... I have to come here for work to serve families. And I love very much what I do. Annnd seeing as how the Chickens actually have a plot here, why not visit?

There are areas I haven't been to yet, so we explored a little.

One of the places I wanted most to see was the Cherry Blossom lot. Ugh, it was so beautiful.

He was so uncertain of how everything made him feel.
Chicken Jiejie and I were gremlins and enjoyed the views.
As much as we tried to put him at ease, everyone absorbs *that at their own pace. I think it shook him up, but in a way that benefited him, as he later opened up a bit more about his reservations- and it seemed to make him feel better to have overcome them.

The pond, the statues, the gazebo, the bridge, the cranes, the koi fish and turtles, the whole area was sooooooooo ugh. I could cry.

And in the same area, we came across the veteran grounds. We were about to leave, but were drawn in to the huge purple trees in the distance. Seeing as how we were there on Veteran's Day, this was a nice farewell detour.

Man, this has been me. I got my top braces off a few weeks ago. Bottom ones taken off earlier this week. I'm all smiles. Life is good.

I loooooove it. I'm listening to the soundtrack right now! We went all out with them. Especially after the shitshow controversy they got from PEOPLE WHO KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THE CONTENT. Chicken and I both got it for Switch, PC, and he got the physical copy lol. I got Lifa to get it and play it too. And bought it for Homdre to try.

When we got there, the line of cars was wrapped around the block to get into the lot where the event was held. Someone recorded video of his car before we even got in!

We were directed, along with many others, to park in another lot and walked over. This was good because as people started to leave later, it was so congested with foot traffic and cars that getting out of there would've been ... awful. But ohhh maan. This was fun.

This is the prettiest red I've ever seen on a car. It looked like it had 598729 ceramic coats, and the red was such a deep cherry and the shimmer and... oh god. It was a solid red. Like a good, deep pin-up lipstick red. ugh

AHHHH So. Chicken and I love Sung Kang. He follows his projects and car stuff more than I do and that's how I learned about Student Driver. His and Daniel Wu's brand. I like it because it emphasizes the idea that we never stop being students. We're always learning. Personally...100%. I roll like that. Same with Chicken. Correct me, I love it. Learn humbly, peeps.

So when I walked by this car and spotted stuff, I crab walked over to the two guys who were chatting (after noticing their shirts) and basically grovelled somewhat awkwardly for a photograph. They agreed with enthusiasm, and the girl sitting in the car also came out and posed for the photo. I overexplained my crush on Sung Kang, to which they just laughed and probably judged me on, and thanked them for posing for me before I dragged myself over to Chicken, ever watchful from a distance; half grimacing-half smiling.

Cars were starting to head out. Sooo many cute widdle miatas.

This car in particular... Chicken was happy to come across. He watched a good amount of car peeps on the youtoom, a few of which were at the meet that night. But the owner of this vehicle in particular apparently modified like, everything on this car. Custom. By himself. And to see in person was really exciting for him. It made me smile.

I haven't seen Chicken enjoy an event like this in a long time. He's somewhat agoraphobic and quite vehemently avoids crowds. Additionally, social environments are uncomfortable for him, which begs avoidancy of unnecessary conversation. All that said, to see him enjoying himself as much as he did that night was a huge treat. My heart was super happy for him.

Note: Chicken appreciates and enjoys Mazda car community of like-minded hobbyists! haha

so we played Uno because he had fuccing Uno. That was such a fun night. Except for the part where I fell asleep on the couch with my head bent against the arm rest, and woke up the next day with a busted, stiff neck. It was SO painful oh my god. I've never been more grateful for a day off in my whole life. There was no way I could drive, let alone function. My damn splenius and scapulae muscles were like... stone. I cried that morning. It was terrifying hahaha

Like, in that Sex and the City episode where Miranda is taking a shower and she like pulls a muscle in her neck or something and she gets STUCK that way, so Carrie had to call Aiden to take Miranda to the ER, but but but it was like, the worst ever because Miranda was naked on her bathroom floor and mortified that Aiden came to help her instead of Carrie!??! She had to get a neck brace.

ANYWAY- THAT. My neck was stuck and it was horrible. Chicken was my amazing prince in shining armor and came to my immediate aid with so much affection and massages to help sooth the surrounding muscles. Holy shit... it was SO bad lol. Damn. Recovery took about 4 days for me to regain full range of motion.

I miss my dad so much. He and my mom are fine. Just far away, and I haven't seen them in almost 3 years. Once things are less gross in the world, the distance will be remedied. In the mean time, we here in the west coast celebrated father's day with an obnoxious amount of sushi.

Uni made its way back to me again, after my swearing off of it following an unfortunate "fresh" uni bowl experience. I took my words back. Fresh uni doesn't suck. It was quite pleasant. Not my favorite, but it was good.

I'M DRESSING LIKE A PROFESSIONAL LADY THESE DAYS. One of the best lessons I'll forever take with me is; during my interview with one of the owners, he said we blend in and don't stand out, because it's about the family. And even though I already knew that, the way he said it hit different. Like... I don't know.. but it stuck with me. So I'm embracing toning my shit down, and I genuinely like it. *crab walks away*
