November actually marked a year that Fett and I have been a thing. We knew each other before committing to one another, but it doesn't even feel like it's been a year since whatever. We've both been having so much fun together introducing one another to new things and suddenly we're broke after cons and it's already been a year!
Fett likes to be romantic and stuff (which is wonderful) so he took us to this really pretty place in Hollywood that's next to the Magic Castle.
After swirling around up the hill forever to find the entrance to this place, we pull up to this huge, super pretty azn building that looks like a hotel or something.
Of course my my jaw drops and everything's spinning
We are greeted by the hostess who leads us around a couple corners, eventually showing up to our table at the very end of that section, surrounded by windows, and a spectacular view of the city.

We were in that corner, and it was perfect. I knew this place was super fancy, because not only was it beautiful, but the couple next to us were totally having an affair. And everybody knows that when you have an affair, you take them to only the nicest places that your at-home partner thinks you aren't into. At least, that's what I've gathered. We were eavesdropping, lol. She had a boyfriend and he had a wife. Good talk.
Our entrees were soooooooooooooo awesome >_< omg. He got steak, I went with talapia. Good lord. Everything looked lovely, too.
For dessert they had a lot of yummy sounding things. He went with this s'more brownie thing that had ice cream, and to me, the pumpkin creme brulee stood out. However, I thought it was something completely different, like creme brulee that was pumpkin flavored or something of that sort. When they meant was a semi-cooked pumpkin filled with some custard and a cracker. =\
I took a bite and it was.... definitely a pumpkin. lol. This was probably the only time I've ever gone through w/ sending a plate back. I felt bad, but ... it didn't taste anything like creme brulee >_>
I get that presentation is nice, but like.... so is food. Food is what we came here for! haha
So instead, I just went w/ what Fett got.. which was just as described and super yummy!
Once we were done, Fett asked if I wanted to walk around and look at all the other rooms. He hadn't been there before either, but this place was huge. So we did just that.
There was a pond.
And outside, just across the way there's a pool, and more stuff to see down the little pathway.
It was a cold night, but we snuggled and walked the entire path. Everything was so beautiful at night.
IT WAS BASICALLY SUPER ROMANTICAL AND STUFF.
He never fails to make me feel important to him. I'll never get used to it. Don't think I want to. That'd probably be crappy, and lead to taking him for granted. It's not just because of these trips, but they do factor into it. Since day 1 he's always tried to swoon me w/ romance and random trips to his favorite spots at night. I thought it was weird at first, lol. Like stuff people didn't really do and only saw in dumb chick movies, but it's really special. Every time. And I'll never get tired of his spontaneity, even though I'm not spontaneous, at all, whatsoever. In fact, I hate most spontaneous things. Springing shit up on me is the best way to make me avoid discussing any of my plans w/ you, lol.
That's just one of the things that draws me now.
And his nose. I adore his nose. It's the cutest nose I've ever seen on a man. Like, it's not even a nose, it's like... a puppy. on his face.
And he's compassionate, and understanding. If something upsets me he won't let me go until it gets resolved. like, he genuinely cares about me! It's so weird, and like.. I don't know. He's not dismissive at all. Not even a little bit. Maybe he will be in a few years, but right now everything feels really good, and having Fett in my life has made me so much happier, and brought so much fun to 2014.
Last year, we also spent Xmas apart, but we spent New Years laying in his bed, watching tv and drinking caramel eggnog in star wars themed cups. And I hope this new years eve is just as wonderful and cozy.
Also! A few days ago, Fett took us back to these two houses that go crazy around the Holidays w/ decorations.
I have an entry from last year from when he brought us here then too... which funny enough was almost EXACTLY a year go. Last year we went on the 9th, this year he brought us here out of the blue on the 7th.
Snowmen in Southern California, lol.
Fett was adamant about giving me an early xmas gift.
He said it's practical and that I'd really enjoy it.
He was right. because I have been eyeing that exact infuser for months!
I have access to Teavana whole leaf teas, but didn't have an infuser.
So. This was perfect.

MOVING ON FROM FETT THINGS
I live in a house now, instead of an apartment. And ... the fact that quarters for laundry isn't a thing anymore is probably one of the most exciting things to me. Guys, the struggle is real. And the only people I have to share the laundry w/ is... just my housemates, and not an entire apartment building.
Here are some of them.

He hijacked my comp because I got into the alpha for Heroes.
Sometimes, Zelda is an acrobat. I won't tell if you don't.
Sometimes my housemates will have parties and fence in the back yard, in armor.

They're all dudes so they keep to themselves for the most part and leave me alone, except for like. game talk. It's nice.

It was super fuuuunnn. The only reason I was able to go was because for some reason I wasn't scheduled to work on Sunday, which is rare, so ... yay!
I gussied up and headed out!

Yoda!! This was a gift for someone's wife ;)
He said she really likes Yoda, so I tried to make him extra cute
There are different 'stages' of detailing that I do for my charms. The base colors I use are more guides than final, as most of the time I will go over them w/ a matching coat of paint, shade them, add any extra accessories (splatters, dirt, blood, hair) and the final glaze- matte or gloss.
This one was a Little Sister for someone's girlfriend ;)
These guys are so sweet!
Above you see the colors I mixed to get the color of her dress.
There was a lot of trial and error w/ this one. She's human, w/ a billion possible poses, so I had to figure out how to approach this.
You can see how her apron in the photo above this one was too high up, so I had to go back in and scrape off some of the white so make the hemline come down, and re-apply the purple to the gaps.
The dress was the most difficult. Layers suck, lol. You have to watch the pressure you hold your project w/ otherwise the warmth of your fingers can press the clay and ruin it.
Pre-paint and shading. She was taken out of the oven and cooled off in ice water. Let her sit over night to harden properly and finish the details later.

Aaaaand ... Fett got us a puzzle! It's a lot more difficult than I anticipated, lol. but it's fun! He's gonna frame it when we finish it.
Other than that... I'm leaving to go see family for Xmas, and only xmas =\

Life is good when you can't afford to take long vacations!
If I had known earlier that I had some stock piled up, I would've opted for a longer trip, but the tickets were booked back in Oct. I'll fly out in 2015 to make up for it.
In Feb I'm gonna be house-sitting for Fett's parent's house while they all go on vacation. They'll be gone for 2 weeks which means... I'm totally hauling my PC over there lol.
Xmas shopping isn't done yet, but Family is all done. Everything else will just have to get here after Xmas. Whatever. bitch about receiving a gift I'll gladly take it back.
What will the New Year bring!? I dunno, hopefully more caramel eggnog! ^_^
