Okay, so Comikaze was a thing. And then the following weekend, of course, was frikin Blizzcon. 

And that same Sunday was Dapper Day in Disneyland. 

Like.

Who planned this shit? 

I DON'T HAVE THE BUDGET FOR THIS LIFESTYLE, GUYS. I DON'T.

(shhh, I got a credit card. It has yoda on it- it's a Disney one shhhh. but like I haven't used it yet because I'm horrified of debt. okay.)

But first.

Ramen.

 Doge and I went to this place in... Rowland Heights? ...Yeah.

It was VERY.
Very.
Very similar to Kopan Ramen. Not exactly, but super close. The presentation is also very close. Everything. Except for their edamame. No one can match Kopan's edi. 

 I loved his hair like that so much, it looked so good on him.

HE GOT IT CUT.

 That evening was very trying for both of us. We were little bitches and basically emotional crutches for one another. It was gross. 

He's a good girlfriend. It also helps that he's older, and just as misanthropic as I am. 

Sometimes ya just wanna hate everything, and have a misanthropic friend support your hatred.

We stayed out late, and of course I had work the next morning.

 I dragged out my coworkers to get ramen down the street.

 She's my Unnie ^_^

She hates everything in existence and scolds everyone for everything and is usually angry 100% of the time. I love her so much.

Even when she's pissed, when I call her unnie she answers sort of maternally, even tho she knows I'm just calling her because I wanna say something stupid like "potato!"

She'll glare at me, I'll respond with an idiotic grin, and she'll go back to what she was doing ^_^

Outside of work, she's only about 43% angry at the world. :D

I don't really care for superhero movies. I can't even remember the last one I watched. I think I started watching Thor and then put on White Girls or something 15 minutes in.

The last marvel movie I watched in theaters I think was the massive apology that was Days of Future Past. I don't follow a lot of the stories but I do know enough that this was funny to watch the whole time. 

But yeah. Meh. 

BUT.

I was curious because sorceryyyyyyyyyyyyy

and the trailer looked cool. And yes I know all about the Tilda shit, but you know what... idc anymore. I just wanna enjoy the damn movie. so

A bunch of us went and saw it.

Annnnnnd towards the end, the movie somehow became out of focus, and we all got a free pass to come back.

Alright, so... Blizzcon.
 I've avoided Blizzcon for the last... 2 years I think? 3? I don't remember.
But I've been a couple times already, and can safely say that those tickets are not worth what they cost. Soooooo, this year, ghosting seemed like the best option.
Overwatch was the highlight of course. And really the only announcement that I was excited for was Diablo 3 stuff.

After watching the stream with all the news and stuff, I had my housemate drop me off.
The Anaheim convention center is literally up the street from me. 
 If I didn't go, I'd feel like a douchebag, because it's RIGHT. THERE.

 As soon as I walked up to the water fountain out front, almost immediately, Karli recognized me and stopped me

(that happens a lot. how ya'll find me so quickly?? people sneak up behind me and shit, or shout my name across a sea of people from like 9 miles away WHAT SONAR WITCH MAGIC IS THIS)

We made a little group and hung out all night together :D

Jay is cool beans. He's like 8x my size.

 And of course, the hotels were all kinds of cray.

And I ended up on the floor in the Hilton with Erick dragging me

Jay and I split shortly after to this thing in LA.

He was supposed to meet his friends there but they flaked last minute kinda. Was a lot of fun!

AND THEN STREET FOOD.

Not even gonna get into that, but as we were leaving the venue, some guy stopped us in our tracks and straight up gave me a rose.

 Which was cool. It was better than being catcalled, so.
Totally random, but... nice. I guess.
Ballsy too. What if Jay was my dude? That guy didn't give a shit, lol.

 Remember in my other Booger post I said that guy wasn't done?

Yeah. He was at Blizzcon too. 

Not surprisingly, considering who he was cosplaying. but yeah.

We went to this Korean place up the street.

for Dapper Day, 

I really had no plans for it. Just to go and maybe take pictures of people.

But instead, the line to get into Disneyland was insane, so I went to California Adventure instead and

I've never had to bend down that much to wrap my arm around someone else's. It was a weird feeling, lol. But this small moment made my day! I told him how much of a fan I am and how Mickey got nothin on him, cuz he's OG and Walter's first and realest homie. He fist pumped me lolol

That was enough for me, I went home LOL.
Fuck the crowds. It was way too insane. And everywhere I turned, there was some hoity toity clique-y group that I recognized from cons, and I just couldn't be around it lol. Either way, I went home very happy!


AND THAT was the end of con season for me!
Frackin. Finally.

Then, it was time to take care of Booger. Booger had been waiting for me at home so patiently. In his death bed. He and my motherboard barely talking to each other anymore :( Talking, but barely.


So, after much trial and error, and failing, for some reason, my motherboard just refused to acknowledge my new hard drive. And I couldn't install Windows on it.

I turned to facebook, but people suggested stuff I already had looked into.
And then Smiley was like I CAN FIX A THING LEMME TRY

And try he did.

I buckled up Booger and Poopmonkey and we headed for Alhambra.



I can't even begin to tell you all the shit he did.
for starters, he took his hard drive out of his tower to put mine in, to install windows, because for some reason his flash drive wasn't being detected on my PC either. but then, his keyboard wasn't working, so we had to go to target and pick up a keyboard to use.

It was a long ass night. Nothing was working. Windows seemingly installed onto Poopmonkey, but the hard drive would never boot up.

 The frusteration, lol.
I've never left my PC overnight at anyone else's place ever. The separation anxiety! lol
but I had no choice. He wanted to keep trying different things, so... I left my PC in his care.

Never thought this would EVER happen, but lol...

Jawn actually directed me to him. I saw a clip of him getting his locs maintained and asked him about it. His are newer, so when I saw that I was like... O___o

 I got in touch with Mpact and after a little conversation, he was down.
We met up at the Kinjaz dojo, of all places, lol. 
It was all very flattering and humbling, because the more we talked, the more I got to see where he was coming from and what loc'd hair meant to him. He's selective, because to him, to me also, this is not a trend, or just a hairstyle to show off.
Felt really cool to talk to someone who gets it. And I'm thankful he put his time and efforts towards beautifying my babies.

Every experience I told him about that I've had with my locs over the last decade of having them, he totally understood.
Same with his bro and Jawn, we were all there just talking about it. It was dope. All super mellow, down to earth dudes.
He said he's always down when I need him, and ... that's just really fucking cool.

 Thanks mang. You dope.

Was really great getting to know him and sharing stories.

The only reason he even considered me is because my locs are almost 10 years old. They are a part of me, and I only ever saw someone to get them maintained ONCE, and hated the result. He's the first to touch my hair since 2008. I got them in 2007.

It was really good! They got the texture down on the beef and chicken really well, lol.
Kind of amazing how they do that

And then Doge and I went to this cute ... drink.. place. 

Never heard of this place before ever, but it was so cute inside!!

Turns out, Smiley gave me a 32-bit version of Windows. 
THIRTY TWO BIT. 

Imagine my heartbreak. I couldn't play any games that mattered (jk lol)
He was in Thailand, so I couldn't really hit him up and be like... y do you hate me.

Thankfully, I still had my version of Windows, which is 64-bit. 
I'd have to reinstall everything all over again -__-;;
By the time I figured out what was wrong, it was cool because I hadn't really done much on here yet worth backing up, so ... I put in my flashdrive with the ISO, went into Bios, changed the boot order, and......


nothing.

But... when I restarted Windows again from the hard disk, it read my flash drive and Windows said it wasn't compatable to upgrade. I'd need a disk. 

SO. Went to target. Bought a fucking pack of dvds, burned the ISO, and finally, that worked. 

So.
stupid.
I could've done that the whole fucking time. For some reason the ISO on the flash drive wasn't formatted to boot off of, EVEN THOUGH IT SHOULD'VE BEEN. But whatever. Poopmonkey works now. And I am at peace.

OH. So like, lol..
the Ghost in the Shell event in Japan was blowing up an the trailer was amazing and and and and I did a thing lol

 This was so rushed and sloppy and RANDOM AF.

But I had a lot of fun doing it lol. I love the Gynoids, and absolutely love what they did with the Geishas. Sooooo yeah.

Next cosplay...?

And recently, I've been having sads.

So like 2 weeks ago, I went to my favorite ramen spot in Old Town Pasadena.

I kinda wanted to go somewhere by myself and slowly kill myself on the inside, emotionally.
And a good prep for that was basically my fav ramen spot. So.

 A bonus to this is the fact that my friend works there :)

 She blessed my ramens with 2 yommi eggs and extra noodles if I wannntted deeemmm

 Look at those perfect 4 minute eggs mmpf. And all that garlic, lol.

Once I was finished, I walked around for a bit.

It was cold out.
I love the cold. It feels like shit, but it makes me feel alert and alive.

And eventually, I made my way to one of my favorite spots to escape to, again. 

 I needed to just sit there, and be cold, and think, and breathe, and be sad, and feel human. Alone.
It felt good.

Considering how this place is supposedly haunted, I was hoping something weird would happen. I want to believe in ghosts, but I don't.
The weirdest thing was being questioned by cops 3 different times who kept driving up and down the bridge, saying they were looking for a missing kid.
A lady cop was patrolling the walkway and asked me if they'd asked me about the kid, I said yes. And she asked me if I was okay. That was sweet. I told her I was, showing her the photos I was taking of the bridge. And she walked off after what I assume was her feeling like I was telling the truth.

In their defense though, I did look weird just sitting there on the bridge by myself.
I had my hoodie over my knees and my hood up covering my face, just sitting there looking at the sky. lol

But whatever. It was nice. I was glad to be there again.
It'd been a while.

JAY was back in town and hit me up to do a thing that weekend!
 I love things. Things are fun.

That thing involved going to a museum of sorts in DTLA.
The Broad, to be specific.

I didn't even know this place existed. But apparently it does, or something.

There's this thing he wanted to see. This like, mirrored infinity room with lights. I'd never heard of it, but it's awesome apparently. So we went, and signed up for the queue to get in.
The wait thingy said it'd take almost 2 hours to get in, so we took that literally and decided to go have dinner in Little Tokyo.

YAY! I love LT ^^

 It was kind of a bit of a walk, but whatever.

 We couldn't decide between ramen or curry.
But the winner was...

Sem.
I was ramen'd out though tbh. And I'd been craving curry for a few days before we went there, so win win!

After dinner we walked all the way back to the Broad.

What was weird though was that he got a text on his phone telling him that his position in the queue was coming up.. but only like 30 minutes into the wait. We were at Curry House stuffing our faces. So when we got back, we told the dude and 

He let us in! ^_^

We only had 45 seconds in there, and we were taken by surprise because we didn't know what to expect. But it was soooooooo cooool!!
Afterwards, we walked around the rest of the museum.

And I put my name in the queue for us to get back inside again! ^_^

 It's so pretty inside! It makes you feel so tiny. Hard to describe.

Following that, we decided to walk back to Little Tokyo for maybe dessert or something. It was early still, so we said fuck it.

 Pretty cool in theory, but still not my scene.
Was neat to experience it though. I've heard about those places and always wanted to check one out, just to see what it's like.

But definitely the coolest thing about that was this dude that was rekking everyone on SF2

Like, watching him, and everyone going up against him stressed ME out.
And then finally a Ryu dude got him. Who apparently was a SF2 champ in like, '92 lmao 

So crazy. Respek tho. That's passion, lol. I don't think I could champion anything. I'm more of a jill of all trades kinda person, imo. Not awesome at one thing, but can do many things kinda goodish-like :P
And I'm okay with that. Props of champs though. That's awesome!

after everyone helped clean up and left, Dihnny's chick got me a blanket and pillows and I crashed on the couch. There were other people crashing there too, so I didn't feel like a total idiot.

I have until Wednesday to finish my practice exam. It's hard, lol. I'm thinking tomorrow I'll just take my stuff with me to work and sit there and force myself to keep doing it, no matter how stressed out I get. Endless supply of food and coffee should help, methinks.
