Many things occurred this day!
But there were also other non-Monday things, as well.
Most of them total surprises, but planned ahead-- I just didn't know what was in store for the day.
Two ultimate indulgences that I was fortunate enough to have shared with Fett;
Gourmet olives and a delicious bath dressed with mint bath oil, light warm vanilla bubble bath, and vanilla and honey milk bath powder. Mmmpf!

- and since we weren't able to go to IHOP on national pancake day, we went a few days later.
This was definitely one of the things I thought I could skip out on that last couples times. I don't know why. I didn't read the fine print, and was all sorts of confused about stuff, but... I drove down there Monday morning after dropping Lauren off at LAX, arriving around 7:30AM.
The test center didn't open until 8:30 so I parked in the lot, got my pass, and took an hour long nap in my car. My alarm went off, and I hit the snooze button. The thought of being so far away from home was a little much for me, lol.
This was one of the silly things I've been stressing over these last few days. Last weekend was just... awful (mostly for Fett), because he was on the receiving end of my stressed out delusional bullshit.
- I was worried about getting to the test center and getting lost and having to talk to people and not knowing where to go
- My insurance plan and the work I want done on my teeth, including braces.
- My role at work and how it's been affecting me
And... silliest of all; Ponies had set up a thing for a bunch of us to go see one of his favorite movies at the Arclight in Hollywood. He had gotten tickets for everyone and it was going to be great, AND.. because there was a spare ticket, he just threw it out there for me to bring Fett. This was incredibly exciting because he hasn't really met any of my friends other than Lauren. And Ponies is like... a big deal to me, so. That was awesome.
It didn't happen.
Since I barely go anywhere on weekends, my ignorant ass didn't take traffic into account and left at 7pm. It usually takes me 15 minutes to get to Hollywood taking the 101.
Well, it hadn't occurred to me that Fett prefers to take the local routs over the highway, and I mindlessly just went with his directions until I didn't recognize where we were going (because I was driving and actually had to pay attention) and asked if we were anywhere near the high way because it had been a few minutes.
Long story short, there was a crap load of traffic, and people waiting for us at the theatre with reserved seats. I returned Ponies phone call and told him to go ahead without us, and that I was sorry that we weren't gonna make it because the way we took had us waiting in tons of traffic and we'd never make it on time. I'm sure the highway would've been bad too. So.
That left me in a really bad mood.
We counted 4 freak outs in 3 days. That's a new record for me. Monday morning, I turned into a woman.
SO YEAH. I've been a ball of nerves. It's bizarre though, usually I'm not prone to PMS. In fact, I deliberately try to not use that as an excuse for losing myself. But hey, I was a total stressed out bitch, and I'll own up to it.
BACK TO THE SCHOOL THING;
It went fine. I went into the building, took my English portion because the Math one reminded me how much I suck ass at it and I honest to goodness didn't recall how to do any of the algebra on the page, and split. Drove over to a nearby Starbucks and picked up some breakfast, and drove home. It's about an hour away. Twice a week I figure won't be too bad. It'll suck on gas but... gotta do what ya gotta do.
I'm stoked.
11:30AM I pulled into my garage and notified Fett of my arrival.
An hour had passed by before we were ready to split for Fetts' surprise.

He brought us to the Museum of Death!!!!!
It was probably the most perfectly timed thing ever.
The place isn't massive or anything, but it's packed with so many archives and trinkets and artifacts belonging to the most famous murder scenes and criminals ever. They have simulated death scenes and thousands of letters, notes, photographs, instruments, and even clothes on display that were worn while dying. It was absolutely incredible how detailed these archives were, and the collection of everything that was obtained in addition to those archives, like an electric chair, was just.... all kinds of whoa.
My favorite room though, was the embalming room.
Displayed there were both current and antique embalmers' tools, a video of the process and anatomical highlights, death certificates, photographs of human specimen undergoing dissection, bones, embalmers' clothes and burial clothes, specially designed make up to counter the bruise tints in the grey skin, for open casket showing. And just so much stufffff. It was especially awesome for me because that's the job I'm going to be doing.

It was difficult to contain myself from grabbing onto Fett or randomly hugging him every time we entered a new room. This was the coolest fucking thing ever. And he also had never been here before, so it was like double whoa.
Unfortunately, it was forbidden to capture photographs or video inside the tour. So, respectfully, I did not. However, on our way out I did grab a t-shirt at their little shop, and a neat $2 pin- which the dude totally let me have on the house! Score! Super nice of him ^^
I love my shirt.
It says 'Hollywood' underneath the heart, but that's nothing a pair of scissors and a sewing machine can't get rid of.
That wasn't the end of our day. Fett was all kinds of adventurous, and so we went to fill our bellies for lunch at none other than Hooters!
I wanted, like, basically all of the stuff in this shop.
DO YOU SEE KIT FISTO IN THE BACK?! AND SHAAK TI?
AND BOBA FETT AND OOLA?!?!
AAHHHH
I WANT THE BANTHA TOO
:OOO
HNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGG
I have thiiiiissssssssss >:D
Bought it when the movie came out at my first job. Mwahahahha!!
Good to know it's worth $100 though, sheesh!
hhhhhhhhnggggggggggggeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhh
See what I mean about going out a lot more? I mentioned this briefly in my last vlog, lol. Definitely not something I did before, but it's tit for tat. And it's been really fun. This Fett guy rules. He's nudging me in a new direction in life, and it doesn't suck :3

We both got the all you can eat wings thing, and the tater tots.
So. full.

We weren't dooone!
Next we went to a cute little hole in the wall place that sells collectors vintage toys and figurines! THERE WAS SO MUCH STUFF YOU GUISE, OMG. Fett was just throwing everything ever at me and just. omg.

Neato graffiti on the side of the building ^^
At first I wasn't sure if we were allowed to take pictures, but after a while I just didn't care anymore, lol.

That was place so neat. It's probably the 3rd place I'll come to if I ever win the lottery and become a millionaire.
I had a death grip on Fett's arm to contain myself for some of this, I'm sure of it.
We weren't done.
He took us somewhere else that evening. On the way there he tells me that he wasn't sure which one he would take us to if we didn't have time to do both. He hinted something at me, and I chose the one that sounded like a nature hike.

It wasn't a nature hike, it was The Grove, lmao. The Grove to me sounds like .... a park with trees and a little hiking trail! There was a place just like that in San Francisco, lolol. But... it definitely did not mean it wasn't really pretty and fun to be in. :)
We got there just as the sun was going down, and everything was lighting up.
It was so lovely ^_^
It was so lovely ^_^
There was a massive Barnes & Noble that we couldn't resist, and fell prey to the promotional rack of 'must have classics.' Our vanity got the best of us, and instead of grabbing those ugly, lack-luster, bargain, paper-back, floppy flops, we went out to seek the leather bound copies. And buy we did.
They match my room.
Our purchase there finalized our evening at The Grove.
But not our night! lol
Apparently we did have time for his last surprise.
Mini Golf!!
Now, I've never been mini golfing before, let alone golfing. And I'm not gonna lie--the words 'mini golf' together sounded so dorky to me, lol. And it didn't seem like something I'd have much fun doing. I mean, it's a ball, and a stick, and you tap it to get it in the hole, right? (heeeehhh...)
But I was so wrong!! It is fun! You have to let your silliness soar, aaaannnd I totally did.

In the parking lot we also ran into his friend that we had run into at Target a few weeks ago. He was accompanied by two other guys and we all chatted in the parking lot for a little. They caught up and stuff until we all headed towards the arcade. You guys it was so neattooo!! I felt like ... a kid... kinda. Like I used to do this stuff a long time ago when I had that big group of friends that all knew each other and lived close and stuff. It was really nice.
Unfortunately, my phone was dying-- it did well. It had a busy Monday. So Fett was nice enough to capture some stuff on his phone and send it my way :)

We were both terrible, but he was less terrible and thus kicked my ass.
We weren't actually keeping score, but that's what it looked like. My dept perception is worse than I thought. And mini golf is hard! lol I enjoyed the challenge ^_^
And the nommy churro and water he got for me. Mmmmm churros and water.
Yums. Now I want a churro =\

So, This was Monday. It was a big ass Monday! We did so many things!! I was pooped when I got home. He stayed the night, and and and and and it was the best Monday ever. I was extra glad that I didn't have work at 4AM the next morning.
Tuesday night was the night that we were supposed to go meet Ponies and everyone at the Arclight, but because that didn't happen, and because I was being a massive fucking bitch, the night couldn't end sourly. It just couldn't. Fett doesn't deserve it, and as we set in front of his house to drop him off, I suggested we go get dinner instead. So we went, and had a nice time, and I was thankful to have him by my side.
He picked the place, which turned out to be this super cute rock-a-billy style diner thing with adorable booths that appear to have car seats. It looked like something out of Grease, you guise. It was adorable. The place is called Fred 62.
There we dined, and talked, and filled out bellies and enjoyed our evening.
It was a huge bummer to me that we weren't able to go see Ponies that night, I think that's why I took it so hard. And he's never been to the Arclight. And they're both important men to me and wanted them to meet. But I'm sure there will be other times. We had yummy foods. I learned that Fett does not like sweet potato fries, lol. He got a yummy banana shake for dessert and I indulged in my raspberry lemonade. That place is really good, I recommend it.
See what I mean about going out a lot more? I mentioned this briefly in my last vlog, lol. Definitely not something I did before, but it's tit for tat. And it's been really fun. This Fett guy rules. He's nudging me in a new direction in life, and it doesn't suck :3
