I began writing this on the 27th.
It's clear, blue skies as far as I can see, and while that can be really amazing it's also worrying to me. I can't seem to convince myself into believing that things are currently OK. Just like that.
So, I will write in the hopes that my mind may find a temporary sanctuary within in this eerie, goofy peace.
Hm.
I participated in assisting my photographer fran on bringing his butcher concept to life, in theory.
He titled the theme "Moo Moo the Butcher"
The concept is based off of irony. Irony is great. :D

We shot yesterday. Can I tell you how tired I was when I got home? Okay.
Well, that's basically it, I was pretty tired when I got home. We agreed to meet then because it was one of the days that the make up artist was available to work with us.
I worked yesterday morning, and once I got home I got in the shower to wash off the coffee gook and headed to Simi Valley. Once there, I met Kelly. Very cool chick. I was honored to have been her canvas for the evening. She was soothing to be in the presence of. Then again, I find having my make up done by someone else to be soothing in general. Kelly, if you're reading this, you're neat.
I took a seat next to the table where she started to work her makeup magics.
It took a good 2 hours-ish, but it completely transformed me.
I can't not make dumb faces I'm sorry.
Before we left for the location I took a quick shot in the bathroom. This reminded me of someone I saw a few years ago. He would always wear those lenses, and he smiled the way I am in the picture, and at that angle it just looks a lot like him.
Then we split, and went to this pretty wooded park.
Kelly applied some more make up stuffs to make me look more gross. We were there for maybe a little over an hour.
It was really fun. There was another time that I was part of a super messy thing with blood and stuff.
-- for my friend Ponies' film. :3
Good times. Muy stickies. Much cold.
The character was definitely something I've not touched on as far as.... anything... goes. So that was completely new to me. He wanted her to be yucky and scary, and gross. If anyone is familiar with the aesthetics I gravitate towards... it's the complete opposite lol. I like gross, but in the cutest way possible. This was not cute, whatsoever! haha
The other day I found myself at my co-workers' living quarters to enjoy his set-up, and the company of his obese feline companion. He has a projector set up in his living room and we totally watched Army of the Dead on his wall, all cinema-like. It was him, myself, and another co-worker. We ordered pizza and kicked it.
He has a lot of antique stuff.
Good times. First time I had pineapple on a pizza. And... I had never seen Army of the Dead prior to this visit. I liked it :P
The more I looked at Bruce Campbell's face, the more I thought of my friend who looks a lot like him in that film. W/ the longish, wavy hair and all. idk.
School stuff is going really well!
Initially, I got kinda flustered because one of the classes I need for my program had filled up and I ended up being wait-listed. This morning I got an email notifying me that a spot had filled up, to which I immediately logged in and registered as fast as I could, lol. So... I got my classes!

The only thing I need to get out of the way is Math. I scored really low on my assessment.... lol... not surprisingly.. and I need to not be a dipshit starting the Fall in order to get into the program. Unfortunately, after this semester it looks like I'll have to take one more semester to get pre-reqs out of the way, but once those are done I'm in. It's gonna take me a little longer than I thought but... at least I'm headed in the direction I want to be in.
And then today I checked on my tuition stuff from work and....
:D
Plus the grant I got from the state, plus Financial Aid for next semester... soooooooo goooooood!!! ^_^. I've never been this excited over school. It's a strange feeling, but feels really good! I wish I wasn't such an idiot about it 2 semesters ago, but I'm doing it now so ... whatever.
Yesterday was really fun too.
Fett and I did a few errands throughout the day (I had a Forever 21 gift card and yay panties)
We stopped by The Illiad Bookshop and accidentally spent 2 hours in there. And some money.
That place is awesome. It's also like.. a 3 minute walk away from my apartment!
Even though I'm not a religious person at all, I find religious scriptures and literature pretty fascinating and sometimes very beautifully interpreted through various mediums of art throughout the world. Religion certainly has its fucked up side, but it also inspired some of the most beautiful pieces of art ever.
It always seems kind of ironic to me every time I read about a performer desecrating a holy scripture.
You'd think that after all the war and persecutions Religion has inspired... performers speaking out against Religion would do something the complete opposite to drive their point across, and yet they show the same kind of disrespect for a people that they so claim Religion reinforces amongst the non-religious by outright virtually spitting on others' beliefs for not practicing their own? And worse because it's used as an exploit during a performance for shock factor.
Seems a little hypocritical to me, but that's just what I believe in.
Their bathroom looked like a fairy tale.
The smell of old books was omg
I found the Forgotten Realms section and couldn't resist myself.
mmmmmmmmmmm yaasss... Drow thiiiinggsss....
We totally came back later that evening to sell some books I have that I no longer want. Some they took in, some they passed, but I donated anyway because they were just taking us space in my room.
And we were in there for another hour, lol. I couldn't keep my fingers off the books that looked like they were from the 1800s. They totally were from the 1800s, and they smelled amazing, and I wanted them all.
Fett says we're going to The Last Bookstore in L.A. one of these days. I'm stoked.
While panty shopping we stopped by Tokyo Lifestyle aaaaannnd I'm an adult and can do what I want so I totally got us an adult thing and made him partake in it.
I love these fucking things
omg the funnest.
his FAT SPAGHETTI
VOILA!
Bento dinner is served! Here you see featured:
- 2 delicious rice balls (Onigiri and Panda head)
- Hot dog octopus
- chicken nuggets
- eggs
- spaghetti
- broccoli
most of which tasted like grape and bubblegum but totes yummy.
These are the essentials, folks. Adult priorities right here.
This brings me to... tonight.
We went to Ihop and brainstormed some cosplay ideas for him for maybe Son of Monsterpalooza.
There's a costume contest that I'll definitely enter with my bride, in addition to debuting my 2nd cosplay. Tomorrow I'll be stopping by home depot to gather some supplies in order to make her prop.
Perhaps when I get in some of the make up for her in the mail I'll post a teaser shot and maybe... MAYBE... someone will guess who. :)
She will be debuted at Son of Monsterpalooza so that should tell you she is horror related.
I figure that there are enough Comic heros and Anime characters around... we need more Horror cosplay! Amiright!? Should I just be that one girl that cosplays Horror characters? XD
I'd be totally okay with that.
Also... I keep wanting to finish my two little Noob Charm pieces but continue getting distracted with either school stuff or day to day errands. Boo.
Tomorrow I also plan on putting some clothes up on Ebay. It's all XS - S, black, lacey, cute, lolita goth-ish, and.... it's all gotta find a home!
Anywho.. it's 2AM.
yeah.
okbye.
