It was quiet, spent with friends, and sushi.
Dihnny was in town, and he hit us up. Naturally, we were hungry.
Idk if hanging out with people triggers a hunger, or if it's just being legitimately hungry before hanging out with people, but every time someone hits me up, I'm hungry. Even if I ate beforehand.

So, we had to get dessert.
Unfortunately, the name of the shop escapes me. It was really cute inside. They had table games at every table.
We sat at the big table and played checkers, operation, and finally
Jenga.

It wasn't long before I found myself at home a bit after 8pm and shortly went to bed thereafter. I was supposed to go out with Ponies that night, but it just seemed like a bad idea, considering I worked early the next morning. And other stuff.
Sushi on New Years Eve pretty much made it perfect tho.
A few days ago, Doge uttered dangerous words; "I want ramen more than I want Disneyland."

The atmosphere was cute. It was traditional, like ramen houses in Japan. I've been forgetting to take photos of the logos lately. My bad, ya'll. But this place is in Costa Mesa somewhere, lol.
Though this wasn't blowing my mind, it wasn't bad at all. It was a lot better than the last place we went to which was just basically a bowl of oil and black pepper.
This place only serves shoyu/miso based ramen. I'm a tonkotsu snob, but... I liked this place because it reminded me of the shake ramen that we had at 626 night market :D
I would come here again ^_^

And there was a grocery store next door, so we stopped by there quick to maybe pick up some desserts or ice cream or face masks...
I ended up getting dessert for later, and Doge got a packet of face masks.
we're Queens, tbh.
And then we went and got real dessert at this place called Cauldron.
It's this nitro ice cream place that has puffy waffle cones and dope ass ice cream.
We both went with the milk and cereal one, with honey.
Dopest.

I need to seriously play more healer classes in Overwatch because I just realized some shit on Mercy that I should've paid attention to like, 8 years ago, and I feel like a dumb ass for not seeing it before.
I hate playing healers, and it shows, but LOL. wow. NOW I KNOW A THING.
I commit, guys. It's not my fault other classes bore me and i don't pay attention to their skill sets okay lol.

But no rly, exploring at night is almost therapeutic for me.
It's pretty, creepy, and quiet, and the air is crisp and colder, and and and stars. Stars are so cool. THEY'RE LIKE COSMIC FARTS.
And I like survival horror games which kinda manifests into an interest of exploring at night.
So, Oppa showed me somewhere with all of those things.

I looked it up this time, because last time he took us somewhere that was supposed to be haunted, I thought he was joking. We were just trying to find Pokemon and he asked me, randomly, if I wanted to go to a haunted forest.
When I got home, I looked it up and he wasn't kidding.

Everything about this place was incredible.
And there was this dried up little baby river...
He brought us to this bridge with a perfect view of the entire lake.
I died a little.

As I approached the bridge, Oppa took my camera.
He told me to lean over the bridge kinda,
and I turned into an awkward potato.
That never happens in such a casual setting, lol. I'm not used to being on the other side of the camera, but it was nice ^_^

We were on the bridge probably for about 12 years.
There were frogs everywhere, apparently.

There was a crinkled up piece of tissue lodged into one of the stump things along the railing. I had noticed it for a milisecond before looking away. He said there was a another frog in there.

He said there was a frog at the Japanese Garden, in the little baby pond thing.

Apparently there were frogs in the water by the bridge.

It's so hard to tell when he's joking because these are places where frogs could legit hang out in. Except for the railing on the bridge. idk why i keep falling for it >_<
we could go to some restaurant and he'd point out a frog in the wall and I'll probably still look :(
jk. I wouldn't believe him then. It'd be impossible. Because there's no way that'd be a frog, it'd actually be a toad. So.
So after a million years on the bridge and spotting baby Nessie (he claims it was a space serpent), we walked further into the park. We were in search of maybe finding buildings we could get into (which was naive because it's a park but whatever).
They looked cool from a distance.
Most of them were bathrooms.
Oppa says there are no more fish in this lake anymore.
The forums reported that this is true.

There was also this weird office buildling that probably had cool weapons and health packs inside.
But it was locked.
I didn't get pictures, but we also came across a playground that was fenced off. Like, there were fences put up around the physical playground. I thought about climbing over it to get into the cool one with the castles, but the fences were too wobbly.
The other playground next to it still had an opening, so we went to that one, and played on the playground. We were there for only about 4 years before it got colder and we decided to walk back.
It was a long walk back, but I loved every moment of it.
The stars were so bright, you guys. You could see the Orien constellation clear as ever.
My phone isn't powerful enough to capture it, but all of these stars were brightly displayed in the sky that night. It was so beautiful!

Eventually, we made it back to the highway.
I have the sense of direction of a potato. It's safe to say that if Oppa left without me, I'd die there until like, I could figure out how to GPS out of there to the closest Burger King.
We made our way back to the cars, and made up for lost car time that wasn't shared on our last walk.
He made me cry, too, during our talk.
I wanted to hug him and tell him that everything will be okay. But I don't know that.
We're both in kinda helpless situations.
I can only hope that our time together soothes him as it does me.
Once 4am hit, it was time to call it a night.
I know this, because driving home sucked. Passed out immediately as soon as I got here.
Ponies and I are beyond queens.

When this older gentlemen just walks up to the stool next to Ponies, sets his jacket on it, and all his shit on the table, and walks off somewhere.

The guy came back and sat down to eat. He had to have known how awkward this was. Like, there's no way someone could just ignore that or be that oblivious.
And he kept getting up and walking all the way around the other tables to use the microwave. He did it like 5 times. And there was room to walk through the tables closer to us, but he'd always go around. I think he realized it got uncomfortable, but it was too late to move seats. The damage was already done, lmao.
And then this bad ass looking Kung Fu dude walked in. Ponies pointed him out and we both watched him stop in front of the oranges right in front of the doors as you come inside. I glanced away for a moment, but Ponies said "he just put an orange in his pocket"
I look back and Kung Fu dude is looking around all suspicious like, I'm guessing to see if anyone noticed, lmao. It was just so bizarre because he's this old little dude and it just looked so fucking funny.
Ponies wanted to follow him so we got up, and on our way to get bottled water, we walked behind him.
After Ponies got his water, on our way out, we spotted him again heading towards the oranges.
I couldn't help myself XD
Maybe he was going to put it back? hahahaha idk
but that dude pocketed an orange at whole foods lmao

Ponies and I came to an agreement that we're probably just gonna come to whole foods for dessert.

Yeah, I'm not taking winter session. Too hxc for my schedule. So I'll just be starting again on the 30th with everyone else. Which is a relief because con season is drawing near and yanno... gotta get on that shit.
No idea what I'm gonna do for ALA. Thought about going to Anime Impulse, but not sure yet. Meehhhh. Wondercon's coming up and I gotta get my shit together. I really, really, really, really wanna cosplay Vampire Symmetra but I really, really, really, hate sewing. I have the stuff to make her helm and arm thingies. But would have to get stuff for her weapon and also wire leds and ugggghhhhhhh
UGH. idk. Maybe hit up my friend to make her suit if I'm desperate enough.
WE'LL SEE. That other cosplay I was working on is fucked because the fabric won't take to dye and I'm over it. Sucks a royal dick because I slaved and raged over that fucking thing, for nothing.
