Buffed

   I'm writing this from the cafe at work on boyfriend's laptop. bear with me because i'm not even sure where to begin. and a colleague is talking to me. and someone just gave me a sticker.
and i just had a conversation about stuff.

i started writing this 2 weeks ago and didn't get very far -but here we are. 

2 weeks later. this whole intro is outdated but imma keep it like that lol  

ALRIGHT RESUME|

Welp. I've been kinda MIA-ish? For the last few weeks. Like... idk. Um, joy has been the main emotion for most of it. Just a constant stream of good.
I don't wanna make this post a gross one though, lol. Frankly, I can't stand when people jizz their happiness all over the place and are all like AHM SO BLESSED HASHTAG PRAYER HANDS and that's like, all you see.

And if I've been doing that lately, I'm sorry lol. That's disgusting. Despite the gross, things have been pretty great aaaaaaaaaaaannnnd like,

LACC is this weekend |omg this is so old, LACC was Halloween weekend.| And then Blizzcon next weekend |yep. that was last weekend.| And then other stuff. And my mom is closer and closer to coming home finally.

It's like once I turned 30, everything good in my life got buffed.

I'm also taking a lot of things that Oppa talked to me about much more seriously. There's a funny on-going trend that ... when something goes wrong, chances are Oppa had already cautioned me about it. So I call him or he calls me and gives me his unbiased perspective. And like, he's been right -every time.- he also told me to be extremely careful and arms length with people in certain groups. So I've essentially excommunicated that whole group because he was right lol. And since then, legit, my happiness levels increased SO MUCH. The trash that come from those people is just, unreal lol.

ANYWAY. TO SUMMARIZE; I have a cool buff on me right now. |And still do!|

Been meaning to write here but kept getting distracted.

What's been all this MIA business? Well, I kinda made myself super comfortable at boyfriend's place. He insisted on it. So I'm barely home ever.

One of my first times there we ate snacks, played some games...

I had him play Bendy and the Ink Machine, and we later played Cuphead.

Gym stuff! I'd never stepped foot into a gym before. Because of my slight teeny tiny bit of social anxiety, so I'd just go running. But my first time was basically me just going in after everyone left to use the showers, but... he let me use his jacket lol. So this was one of those dumb moments I felt needed capturing because I was in a gym... locker room.. with his jacket. idk. stfu.

And one night he surprised me with taro ice cream and it's the prettiest ice cream I've ever seen look at it.

OH. FUNNY STORY
SO.
After I filmed at Full Moon, they also offered me a bunch of stuff and one of those things was a blu ray of PM3. It wasn't sealed, they had a hard time finding a copy, but eventually found one.
It hadn't even occurred to me to check it.

ONCE WE OPENED IT TO WATCH IT, THIS WAS INSIDE INSTEAD:

I'm sorry, that's just too fumy to not share. I didn't wanna blast it on social media at the time but now it's just too funny. No, we didn't watch it. But we might. Who knows, maybe Blade makes a cameo in this version of the Lorax

One thing that stood out to me most was meeting his fam.
It was a different experience, for many reasons. But what was most awesome was that while his mom and sister were out, they got food for me. His sister got us milk tea before, but it wasn't with his mom.

And the next day, his mom prepared food for me

And I was elated. and humbled. and moved. and couldn't talk. and just.

yeah. his mom prolly didn't care much but it was just a really nice thing that she did. she barely knows me. 

IDK. IT WAS NICE. 

oh and like, Narnia is in his back yard. but like a haunted resident evil one. but with like, fruit

It's just this huge plot of land with tons and tons of fruit plants and trees everywhere and you can get lost

jk. i'd get lost but that's because i'm kind of an idiot, geographically.

This is the resident evil part. he has like, old sheds in his back yard that look all ... survival horror

i wanna literally pick at the lock and go in there and search for stuff to loot, just in case. you know
for mobs to fight. in his yard.
probably has a huge fruit monster hidden somewhere, lying dormant waiting for me to trigger something in the shed. THAT'S WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE BACK THERE

he says this is a sink, but to me this just looks like where you go to restore HP during the boss battle with the fruit monster

that's kinda what i did. i recorded a video lol, with a light and everything, walking up to it and it ended with me reaching towards the door to go inside.
was like, so totally survival horror.
but i haven't gone in. i'm gonna ask him if we can check out stuff inside next time.

like, i WANT there to be something crazy in there, and not just tools and storage crap, but i just need this closure.

that day consisted of dumplings and gyoza and i was the happiest camper

my guy dresses well.

also i gained weight, because we'd been going out to each like every night. it was a little insane.

we got the "large" because last time we had the small or whatever, but it was still the same size. and we finished both...

and i asked the waiter if we ordered the large and he laughed at us :|
he said the large just had more meat than the small, but the bowl was the same size. i felt like an idiot. these things are meant for multiple people, and we finished them without struggled, twice, and i asked if it was a large =\

oh look we went out to eat again

 oh. so a coworker told me victoria's secret had spooky halloween themed undergarnments. i've never, in my life, walked into a VS store and bought anything. like, i'll go in, but i get scared and just leave. i just can't be in there.
but since there was halloween stuff in there, i had to check it out. (because there was some stuff on the website but i wanted it right then and there was a sale... so.)

 Mission accomplished. My guy refused to touch the undergarnments, but he picked out all of them. without trying to. mostly suggesting things that i'd like, because i was having a hard time finding anything i'd actually wear. and everything he spotted and picked out was something i liked. 

he's a pro.

Also, we both work at blizz, and i can't even begin to explain how insanely nice it is to have that. we carpool to work, and work similar hours, but are in different buildings and only see each other on breaks. but it's so crazy surreal.

We understand what that can come with, but we also don't totally brush off how fortunate and lucky we are, and how amazing it's been, because it has. 

 It's very, very uncommon, and we know this. And it's also been really nice, and I can't be thankful enough.

yeah. anyway... yeah just wanted to be excited about that for myself lol

because only people at work hear about it, and i don't wanna annoy my friends outside of there so i don't talk about it often but it feels pretty awesome to say that my guy and i both work together, at blizz, and like.... fuck. that's so cool. 

one of my friends recently texted me saying how happy he was for me and i almost cried lol. i hadn't told him anything in fear of making his vomit or hate me, but out of the blue he was just like ilu and i'm happy for you and i was the happiest cynthia :B

HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS
(has changed a lot)

We went on a Sunday. But still, as usual, Universal City Walk was boppin

We went kinda early, and we were hungry so... we went out to eat

Didn't take as many pictures as I did in prior years.
But did take some, obviously. I was wondering if some of the people I'd met here were still working it. Could've checked and asked them, but forgot lol. I don't think they were, and even if they were, it was a different vibe altogether.

I liked the Walking Dead walk-thru thingie before entering the maze. It reminded me of Penumbra (by Frictional Games- people who did Amnesia)

There was a lot of Harry Potter merch in the stores. And this huge mirror.

 Yanno, I never got into harry potter much.
Like, I watched the movies, and enjoyed them very much. But the books never appealed to me. But yesterday at work, a coworker told me that there's a centaur that becomes a teacher in like, the 6th or 7th book, and now I kinda wanna read them??

that's besides the point-- Universal has done a lot of cool stuff with Harry Potter and it's pretty incredible. I've never been to Harry Potter world myself, nor will I pay to see it- i don't care that much- but the merch and the way the shops are done was really cool.
And no, we didn't have access to HPW during Halloween Horror Nights.

While it has changed a lot over the years, we still enjoyed ourselves very much.
He's been to Knott's Scary Farm, and said Horror Nights is far better lol.

We also go to this diner near my place (way too much) because it has the most delicious dessert ever

 He had Umami Burger for the first time, as well.
I go there for the aioli and fries tbh. but their burgers are pretty sexy too.

And since we were going out to eat so much, i wanted to change it up and cook at home, so I prepared seco de carne for him and my roommate to try.

 They loved it.

 On some Sunday, a bunch of us met up at Disneyland

The first thing I did was check the Disneyland app to see if my husband was there.

 And he saw my Ortensia ears and fell in love

and saw my guy's ears and was confused

 he cock blocked my own boyfriend in our photo

but I was so happy lol.
I hadn't seen him since november of last year because everytime I go there, he's never there.
but that's also my fault because I rarely go to Disneyland during the day. like a leper. or a harry potter centaur.

Of course, Haunted Mansion was a must ride.

 I SHIP IT

After dinner, everyone pretty much went home, but we went back to California Adventure for booze.

More specifically, the Cove Bar.
He's never been, and I figured this was the perfect time to go, as the crowds were dying down.

Luckily enough, we were seated downstairs, in Ariel's Grotto. I'd never been there, so this was especially exciting for us both. We had the most beautiful view of the pier, right before us.

We were afraid that we would have to leave before World of Color came on because the show happens right there in the water, right next to us. But... we were allowed to stay, and it was the most amazing sight and evening, ever.

I couldn't believe our luck.We were in the clouds.
It was the perfect ending to our weekend, and start of our work week.

The cherry on top was when on our way out to head home, he insisted on getting me the Oswald hoodie :)

Since then, we've been hopping back and forth from staying at his place for a week, then coming to mine, then back to his. And it's been like a forever vacation. 

Eventually, I know this whole "honeymoon" phase will gradually wear off-- I know that. I'm not stupid. But it's been pretty great. 

And the thing is, we're not even doing anything fancy or trying to impress each other or going out of our way to do these huge acts of stuff. 

We're just eating a lot, and going to see stuff together. And just chillin. 

It's been dope. 

Blizzcon was unreal.

But I'll save that for another post. 

WE'RE FINALLY ON ARGUS AND WE NEED TO DO THINGS AND

I found that that basically my favorite beer besides this mango IPA i had before, is Arrogant Bastard. like. hands down.
