O c T o B e r

Personally, my most favorite month out of the year has had so many wonderful things in store, and wait... there's still so much more!

One of those things was having my coherts return to the comfort of their home. This was especially great because a few times while they were gone I let my mind wander a bit too far... leading to spouts of paran--- whoa I just got light headed... okay... paranoia before bedtime.
I also began to feel regret over the incident that happened where I used to work, and kept fantasizing about how I could've done things differently to stop him.

Their being home again has put me at much more ease. Also I'm buying my own gun :D
However in the mean time Flick has been coaching me on how to handle a hang gun properly. It's safe to say that I have pretty much mastered it-- at least one of the models he had me learning on. The second one was too big for my little hands. I like the black one much better. Everything in my room became a memory of the masked gunmans face, and it pushed me to want to get the aiming and everything else perfect.

Aside from the joys of gun handling, October has been nothing short of wonderful.
Pumpkin & Caramel Apple everything, Halloween decorations, Hocus Pocus, Pumpkin scented candles and body cream (my favorites), and Halloween Time in Disneyland. ^_^

Also, I got to meet Glitch!
He is one of the newest members of Psyclon Nine, but not new to me. I've known him for a few years now, and I guess we just fell out of touch at some point. While browsing one of my old online journals I ran into a conversation between him in myself back in 08. It was hilarious, and I just had to tell him about it.

The way I first ran into him was also really funny. I got home from work and found him sleeping on our couch. Probably one of the cutest things ever. So of course I took a bunch of pictures. Sadly, I'll only show this one. Don't worry, it's just as cute.

 Mr. Glitchy Goo Kitty Head.
He's such a silly.

Also this.

I love them so much. I'd get them all ever, but that'd be irresponsible.
Doesn't mean I won't make that a goal though.
Doesn't mean I will.
Doesn't mean anything.
But... just sayin.

I love them.

I also made some new Halloween charms that are for sale on my Etsy
They will NOT be replicated, so they're strictly one of a kind.
The boney little cutey is Skellythu, and that's Wumpkin beneath him.

This is Booghz.
Booghz is probably my favorite one. He looks so.... just.... really sad. lol.
I wish he was real so I could give him better stitching... with my heart. I LOVE YOU BOOGHZ.
PLEASE DON'T BE SAD.

Aaaaand I also made two more of the tentacle cupcakes.
"Wicked" and "Candy Corn"

They look neat with the lights out. Glow in the Dark, you see.
At least... Booghz, Skellythu, and Wicked.
You can see pictures of that heeeeere as well!

I saw a video a few weeks back that made me fall in love with yet another fantasy character brought to life by a performer. This time it was Jack Skellington! But not just from the film. The Jack Skellington at Disneyland!! I can't tell you how many videos of him I watched, gauging how well each actor had him down, and was determined to meet him so that I can fan girl all over him and just be really happy.

Admittedly there are 3 other men in the world that inadvertently summon the fan girl in me.
  1. Harley's Joker
  2. D Piddy
  3. Jay Gordon
The 4th is a specific Jack Skellington actor at Disneyland. I'm not afraid to admit it. Nope.
I have been very fortunate to have met them all, and gotten pictures with them. BUT Jack Skellington has full on conversations with people and acts just like Jack in the movie with his little flourishes and the way he walks and speaks with such a charismatic mmpf that it's just like *asplodes*

But there's a thing to it... there are different actors who play him. There's good, meh, and OMFG JACK IS THAT REALLY YOU HUG ME RIGHT NOW. I'm just sayin

But I'll get to that soon. I need to calm down.

Lauren and I went to Disneyland during the Halloween season and let me just tell you how absolutely wonderful and spectacular and amazing and just AGH it was. I've never been there during October, and was simply blown away by the way they decorated it all. It was unreal. Escapism at its finest.

But first... coffee.

On the way there Lauren pulled a mom and called Disneyland to ask them if Jack would be there because her friend is a big fan and really excited to see him. Of course I naturally expected him not to be, because that would be perfect, and no. BUT THEY SAID HE WOULD BE OMFG :DDD
But they said Sally wouldn't be with him because she had to walk Zero in the cemetery and you know, Zero doesn't wear a leash, so who knows how long that would take?!

They told us he'd be there right at the opening of the park, and we got there about half an hour after they opened.

Everything was so fun and pretty and happy and ugh. Walking through those gates was so exciting!

We hauled ass to the Haunted Mansion, me hyperventilating anxiously waiting to be disappointed, when she spots him by the side gate, and and and. and. I can't breathe.
There was already a slow-moving line of people waiting to approach him and take pictures. We got in that line so hard. God, Lauren is such a supportive friend.

 ICANTBREATHE

We eyefucked him hardcore, trying to determine if he was the most skilled actor portraying Jack in a video we saw. He sounded really good, but we kept going back and forth about it, almost grading his performance. Was it him?? I DON'T KNOW, BUT HE'S REALLY GOOD. BUT BUT BUT...

And then... just as we got to the front of the line, 2 people ahead of us, they tell us that Jack had to go check on Sally because she was feeling a little blue...

but that he'd be right back. (Phew!)

Everyone figured (hoped) he just had to go pee or something. But he walked off, followed by a little girl and her mom, and almost immediately returned.

But there was something about him that was different, and his walk.. the way he moved his hands as he spoke.. and wow he sounds amaziOH MY GOD IS THAT HIM?! IS THAT HIM?? IT SOUNDS LIKE HIM THAT'S TOTALLY HIM. LOOK LOOK HOW HE'S GESTURING. OMGLAURENTHATSHIM

Amazingly enough Lauren didn't punch me in the face to calm me down. I'm sure she wanted to.
It was totally a different actor, and it was totally THE actor that was just mindblowingly AWESOME at playing Jack. It was as if it was really Jack. Completely unreal.

So then it was our turn. All I honestly remember is ... screaming in my head as he greeted us. Lauren's way more socially graceful than I, so she did most of the talking. He complimented us on our attire, and asked us what we were up to for Halloween. And frankly all I did was gaze into his huge black eyes and blank out LOL. He was SO intimidating to me! Because he was really tall, and very... Jack Skellington lol. He was so skilled at portraying Jack that my brain was just done. Nope. Can't remember jack shit. haaaah. Jack. Shit. get it? heh.

Then Lauren asked if we could take some pictures. He charismatically said "why, of course!" Or at least that's what I think he said.

He told me to do this silly pose with my arms crossed across my chest. Lauren asked for another, and he took my hand and stood all gentleman-y like. I didn't know what to do and panicked. Most unflattering pictures EVER but I have them. And that's all that matters.

My face looks fat. Not having a chin sucks.
I have chipmunk cheeks. 's where I hide my nuts ^_^

That's all you get. The others are terribad. Dunno if it was my posing or just the god awful straight-on angle. But whatever. Moment captured. SEE HOW TALL HE IS!? He's not wearing platforms or anything. Just normal shoes. And my shoes add like 3 inches to my weensy 5'2 frame. eeeeeeeee ^_^
I also remember watching his mouth as he spoke to me. It was pretty frickin daunting you guys. In a good way. If that's even possible.

So Lauren asked him to do one of his laughs for us. His response was something like "ohh! my SANDY Claus laugh!" I almost burst out laughing in joy because the way he said "Sandy Claus" was so eerily perfect and exact that I just couldn't handle it. He burst out a loud, triumphant "HO HO HO!" in the confident fashion that Jack would do, and it was just... perfect. lol.
Good Job Disney, you cast the best fucking guy to play him. My god. Phew.

Since we were at the Haunted Mansion and the line was moving super fast we decided to hop on while the goin was good. Like I said, never been here in October, so I've never seen the Nightmare Before Christmas stuff inside!

IT WAS SO COOOOOL!!! ^_^

I took more but this was the only one that came out somewhat okay. :P
Besides I wouldn't wanna spoil it for anyone!

After that it was time for breakfast. Or lunch. Whatever. We were by the New Orleans Quarter so since I knew exactly what I wanted to eat... we went to grab that quick by the Castle and went in search of the little restaurant/cafeteria place Lauren sought after. Sadly they were closed, and weren't going to open until later that morning. So we went off in search of someplace else, which we found, and sat our asses down for foods. It was there that Lauren tried the glorious thing that is the smoked turkey leg for the first time.

You guys know how much I love those damn turkey legs. She got to try it and needless to say... she got one later. Ha!

Then it was off to wander and go on rides!

Star Tours was amazing!!
Also, I'm really glad that these came out this way. This is probably the only way I will ever be able to show what it is for me to drive at night in the other car.
He never believed me. I would try to explain to him the rays of light all over the windshield obscuring my view of the road, and making it difficult for me to see the lanes. Those light lines.... that. It's awful driving when that shit blinds you like crazy.
Anywho.... yeah. lol. Star Tours!!

We went on Pirates, Indiana Jones, Storybook, Star Tours, Astro Blasters, inside Sleepy Beauty's castle, Roger Rabit's car ride, and Splash Mountain! We also visited Mickey's House in Toon Town.
I'd never visited Toon Town any of the other times I had gone, which... is actually kinda funny because it's been a couple. What a cute place!

The line for Minnie's hosue was stupid long. So we went to dig through Mickey's shit.

This is me pretending to drive a 7 series BMW on the 101 going South towards Hollywood at 11 PM in the far right lane after I just lane weaved to get there without using my turning signal once. And I'm wearing Axe body spray and gel in my hair and a fitted white tshirt. I also got my car from insurance fraud and I live in Glendale. What?

Queen of Hearts was like NOPE

Pretty much what Rotny's dreams are made of

Aww. We saw them and I started wheezing. They were obviously headed somewhere, but are so good and patient with Disneyland patrons, and you can tell they try really hard to not ruin the experience or break the fantasy for us. I love them. If I was a little girl and came here in today's age... I'd probably lose my shit and die from Happiness reaching critical mass levels and just implode or something.

They're wonderful!

We also saw.... Who did we see? Jack Skellington. In case you skipped it. heh. HEEEEH. HEHEHEehehehehehheheeehehe ok sorry. OH we also saw Tiana? Is that how you spell it? idfk.
Newer Disney shit... meh.
Minnie... Queen of Hearts, Tigger, I know we saw more... I just can't recall currently.
It was neat. The other times I've been I think I only ever saw Tigger. And I think they avoid Bats Day lol? Or maybe not and I just didn't look well enough.

Anywho, it was awesome.
Sadly the park closed early (6PM) to begin the preparations for Mickey's trick or treat event, so we left as a whole bunch of new faces entered the park in full on Halloween costumes. It was pretty astounding. We wanted to go.... but it was an extra set of tickets for an extra nasty little fee, so we split. We still have other Halloween plans in the works, and I'm so excited to share them with you! It's going to be so much fun!

Things are going really well.
I had a meeting with my boss and my boss's boss at work about promotion stuffs. Hopefully I can prove to them that I can fulfill that role. Today I feel like I was tested a little bit. Thankfully I'm a master at not manifesting negative emotions on my face, and any stress I may have felt was totally and completely bottled! :D lol I got this!

♥ Happy Saturday! ♥
